04/07-02/08- Cajun Constructors, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Duties: Assisted with the development and implementation of the safety program for the largest project (Harvey Flood Wall Project, Harvey, LA) undertaken by Cajun Constructors to date. This program continues to ensure and exceed compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Also assisted with the development and provided methods, plans, and techniques of the job hazard analysis program to identify, eliminate, and control worksite hazards. Networking with the Army Corps of Engineers, management, and employees on jobsite hazards; made recommendations for control measures, compiled and analyzed this data, submitting daily and weekly reports to senior safety management, security, and other officials. Other duties include, but not limited to, health and safety officer during accident investigations, near- miss hazard recognition and root cause investigation reporting, assuring compliance with all site personal protective equipment including hearing and respiratory protection, employee emergency action plans, all medical and first aid interventions, employee medical records, driver safety training, other mandatory job training as required or needed.

Duties: Field Paramedic, assisted with orientation and training of new employees, served at various posts throughout the incident command system of many large scale operations. Provided emergency advanced life support and trauma management interventions in the pre-hospital arena at one's home, scenes, or events.
