The following responsibilities: -
* Provide strategies for Chemical treatment, CP, Corrosion monitoring & Painting activities.
* Issuing Monthly Corrosion and Inspection Report
* Writing of Summary reports and detailed reports as necessary to the top management.
* Provide corrosion Engineering Support to new Projects & Operation facilities through the following items: -
A- Establishment of the corrosion control programs (internal and external) and evaluating these programs for the following:

a- The surface oil, gas, and water production / processing facilities including the flowlines, trunklines, processing vessels and equipment, storage and shipping facilities, and applying the various corrosion control techniques:

1- The design reviewing, installation, evaluation and supervision of the maintenance of the various cathodic protection systems (galvanic and impressed current) and reduce the interference problems.

2- The recommendation of painting, coating, and lining systems and the supervision / control of application and quality.

3- Design, develop & optimise for the various oil / gas / water production and processing chemicals, including corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, oxygen scavengers, biocides for microbiological corrosion control,...etc.

b- Establishment of internal and external corrosion control programs for the subsurface oil, gas, and water production facilities, and evaluating these programs including:

2- Oil/ water / gas well TBG & CSG internal downhole corrosion control and scale control using inhibitors applied by the various techniques (continuous, batch ) to control corrosion and the downhole scale in casing, tubings and ESPs.
and also by using douline.

3- The selection of the suitable materials of construction for the downhole equipment for service in the various environments.

B- Organizing the various oil/gas/water production & processing chemicals field and lab. testing programs, analysis of data and results to recommend corrosion preventive measures accordingly with proficiency in planning executing and interpreting the results of these tests.

C- The Organization & interpreting of the corrosion detection / monitoring programs for the operations through the following methods:

1- Keeping the equipment failure records.

2- Visual inspection.

3- Results of NDT investigation.

4- Chemical analysis of operations streams and fluids including iron counts, bacteria analysis, H2S content, CO2 content..

5- Observation of the corrosion products and analysis.

6- Monitoring equipment including weight loss coupons, electrical resistance probes, linear polarization probes.

7- The survey results / corrosion inhibition test programs results are analyzed to recommended modify to the most economical effective corrosion control programs.
* Supervise Field trials evaluation for treatment chemicals.
* On the way to establish complete corrosion data base and corrosion facilities and pipelines integrity.
* Train and guide junior Engineers & Technicians.
* Train new graduates and Summer trainee.
* Supervise 12 engineers and technicians with full guiding, recommending and evaluating.

FIELD CORROSION ENGINEER
- Working for " KPC" at Salam Field Eng. as a field corrosion engineer with the following Responsibilities:
Cathodic Protection: -
- Internally and Externally Cathodic Protection with Impressed Current and Sacrificial Anodes systems through the following activities: -
- Installation supervising and performance evaluation for the CP. Running the related cathodic protection surveys including soil resistivity, potential survey, CIPS Survey, Instant-off survey, current requirement survey, insulation efficiency tests, holiday detection for wrapping and coating of lines. .etc. Included also is the supervision of C.P. systems maintenance.
- Reduce the interference occurrence problems.
- Follow up and Supervision Installing of new Cathodic protection systems

Corrosion Monitoring: -
Data analysis to predict the corrosion occurrence with the following methods:
- PH measurements, CO2 partial pressure, H2S content, Chloride content, Iron content & Amine content
- Corrosion coupons, ER probes, LPR probes "ROHERBACK COSASCO & CAPROCO Systems".
- Supervise the hot tapping process to install the subject elements.

Chemical Treatment: -
* Batch treatment for Oil wells from the casing, oil displacement method or with Coil tube equipment.
* Continuous treatment with side stream for Water Source Wells or Oil producing wells and by using Capillary tube for oil Producing Wells.
* Batch treatment for Gas Wells with Bull heading technique.
* Packer fluid suitable Inhibition with multifunction corrosion inhibitor.
* Protecting the Process Oil and Gas plants, Water Flood and Trunk lines with the suitable inhibitors.
* Suitable scale inhibitor programs to avoid scale formation.
* Biocide inhibition programs to avoid the effect of SRB.
Painting: -
* Supervise the applying of Painting systems for Tanks, Vessels and Flow lines (Surface preparation, Blasting & Painting).
* Inspect Painting preparation and applications according standards.
Non Destructive Testing: -
* Visual and ultrasonic inspection " with Krautkramer USK-S7, Panametrics 26MG, T-Mike EM+ devices" for flow lines, Vessels & Tanks internally and externally.
* Choose fixed points to be checked periodically.
* Supervise the pulled tubing inspection with the specialized companies.
* Attend Cast-V Test for CSG inspection test with Halliburton Co.
