Area Operations Manager
Supervised the safe and productive daily operations, maintenance, measurement, corrosion and capital projects on an operating area that covered 16 counties and included:
Several gas pipeline systems totally over 1,200 miles of small and large diameter pipe onshore with, six compressor stations with a total of 28,000 HP.
Several offshore pipeline systems totally over 300 miles of small and large diameter pipe, three manifold platforms in Matagorda Island area, and pigging and measurement facilities on third party production platforms.
Two large cryogenic plants (one with fractionation capabilities), two amine treating facilities (180 MMCFD capacity,), and two large volume liquid separation and dehydration facilities.
Liquid product pipelines totally around 400 miles of pipe with 5 small pump stations.

Prepared and maintain operating and capital expense budgets in excess of $20 million annually. Managed variance reports and approved area level expenditures.

Directly supervised three administrative people, one superintendent, and three field supervisors with a compliment of 60 employees. Interviewed and hired new employees.

Maintained a professional relationship with other company departments, partners, customers, and shared service employees.

Participated in internal audits and regulatory audits and inspections with the Railroad Commission of Texas, Texas General Land Office, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, United States Coast Guard, Mineral Management Services, and the Department of Transportation.

Administer company policies and procedures and enforced all safety policies, conducted safety meetings, participated in PSM meetings. The area reached over 100,000 man hours without a loss time accident and maintained and excellent vehicle incident rate with 35 company vehicles assigned to the area.
