Twenty six years experience in petroleum exploration and development, coal geology and coalbed methane. Independent consultant specializing in prospect generation and evaluation in the Rocky Mountain states and the mid-continent. Responsible for the discovery of Salladasburg Gas Field, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Skilled in well site geology including geosteering horizontal wells, and in the interpretation of surface and subsurface geologic data. Strong background working with reservoir engineers, logging engineers, mud loggers and drilling personnel. Supervised or geosteered (on-site) horizontal wells on the North Slope, Alaska, Williston Basin and D-J Basin. Well site geology on conventional wells in Bighorn, Wind River, Williston, Denver and Piceance Basins. Spent 12 years in the Orient, with consulting assignments in Indonesia, Australia, Burma, Malaysia, China, South Korea and Singapore. Previously spent three years in petroleum exploration and development in Saudi Arabia. Taught subsurface mapping and carbonate sedimentology courses in Abu Dhabi and in Indonesia. Wrote comprehensive basin studies for Kutei and Tarakan Basins (Indonesia) and technical analyses for public stock offerings (natural resources) for Canadian and Australian companies. Consulting Geologist for Aspen Operating Co., a small drilling, exploration and development company operating in Colorado and Wyoming. As the firms only geologist, I am responsible for preparation of maps and reports for state and federal agencies, planning oil and gas exploration and development wells, well log analysis, consultation on new ventures, well site geology and liaison with service company contractors.

Provided on-site geologic supervision, core description and core photography on coalbed methane wells in Piceance Basin, Colorado and Niobrara and Muddy Sandstone gas wells in D-J Basin, Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska. Developed coal stratigraphy and coalbed correlations in Powder River Basin, Wyoming and Montana for U.S.G.S., Denver. Taught in-house training courses in subsurface mapping for ADNOC, Abu Dhabi.
