Oilfield Experience:
1974-1979. Roughneck, Motorman, and Derickman with Loffland Brothers, AMC Montgomery, and Challenger Drilling.

1980-July 2005. Consultant and staff mudman with various mud companies working in the Western Alberta Basin in Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan; the St. Laurence Lowlands in Quebec; the North Atlantic---offshore Sable Island and Newfoundland; The Canadian Arctic; Montana; Greenland; Costa Rica; Columbia; Ecuador; Bolivia; and Chile.

August 2005 to Present. Consultant Wellsite Supervisor with Bob Bonham Consulting and Horizon Energy Management, drilling everything from 3200m wells in the Robb area for Accrete Energy to 150m core wells in the Alberta Fort Hills tar sands for Petro-Canada. In 2007, I specialized in drilling zero- and minimum-disturbance wells for Sphere Energy, and during the 07 / 08 winter season, I drilled 16 of 40 gas wells in the Ring Border region of Northern British Columbia for ConocoPhillips without a HSE incident.

Capabilities:

I have experienced most types of down-hole drilling problems that one may come across worldwide. These include drilling almost everything from the "hardrock" granites in Greenland to the "gumbos" of the Ecuadorian Oriente. I am practiced in supervising conventional jackknife triples, telescopic doubles, ADRigs, super singles, coil and core rigs, using both over- and under-balanced mediums in areas with ab- and sub-normal formation pressures. I have specialized in zero-and minimum-disturbance drilling in environmentally sensitive areas and have a proven record of drilling with a zero target for personnel injuries, property damages, and environmental impacts.

I am efficient in record keeping, and have been trained in report writing at the Open Learning Institute, Burnaby, BC

I am relatively computer savvy, having used computers at work and home since 1980 and completed an Information Technology course at the Open Learning Institute. I am currently conversant with using Peloton WellView, Excel, Word, and Beyond Compliance Inc. in addition to the Ubuntu Linux Open Office suite of programs.

I have a rudimentary command of Spanish, having worked in five Spanish-speaking countries.
