Projects in which I was Involved:

A. Houdini (Pyrolysis Plant) – Lead Engineer, Client – Shell
* Main technical liaison between customers and Yokogawa project teams located at home office and remote locations. Co-operate with other Yokogawa project teams.
* Analyze customer's functional requirements and work with customer's engineers towards sensible system solutions.
* Supervise a project team that design, implements and tests DCS application software. Act as a coach for the project engineers and ensure good co-operation within the project team.
* Plan, organize and monitor the work of the project team and provide feedback to the internal project organization regarding the progress of work. Carry out technical quality checks throughout all project execution phases.
* Design and implementation of complex process control applications in Yokogawa's DCS system on basis of P&ID's, Control Narratives and Instrument Databases. Set standards and guide a team to implement complex application software.
* Analyze customer's functional requirements for complex control, sequences and batch. Design and implement competent DCS application software. Discuss, test and finalize solutions together with customer's engineers.
* Guide sub-vendors, review, check and monitor their deliverables.
* Co-ordinate internal tests, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).

* Training to ENCOMPASS INC. to learn American System for power distribution, power transforming, wiring and protection, grounding methods, communication, Fire Alarm Systems and safety.
* Assembled electrical panels for power distribution (low and high voltage).
* Tested and repaired switchboards, relays and supervisory controls
* Maintenance and troubleshooting for low voltage and high voltage electrical systems
* Assembled Addressable Fire Alarm System, smoke detectors, speakers, strobes, pull stations, fire alarm control panels, door holders, relays and communication systems.

A. Membrane electrolysis plant - D.C.S. Engineer
* Assembled the RS3 Distributed Control System manufactured by Fisher Rosemount consisting of: connecting power supply and instrumentation cables between cabinets, assembling Control Process Units (Control Files), implementing internal communication network Peerway type and external network Fast Ethernet type.
* Networking DCS with SIMATIC S5 PLC.
* Connected field instruments manufactured by Fisher - Rosemount, Honeywell, Keystone, Fisher - Porter, Foxboro, with Field Interface Modules of the DCS.
* Calibrated Interface Cards and Field Instruments including control valves and smart transmitters.
* Upgrading RS3 system and Windows NT including Y2K problem.
* Configured all kind of control loops.
* Optimized the Interlock System implemented with logical algorithms in the DCS.
* Data acquisition, Historical Trending, Reports under Excel, Reports on MTCC and SMS.
* Maintenance, diagnostic, repairing and troubleshooting hardware components and peripherals.
* Continuous experience exchange with Fisher - Rosemount Hann, Fisher - Rosemount Budapest via KRUPP - UHDE Gmbh Dortmund, Germany.
* Jul.1999 training to KRUPP-UHDE Gmbh - Dortmund, Germany for start-up of Membrane Electrolysis Plant.
* Aug. 1999 training with KRUPP-UHDE in Amsterdam in an existing Membrane Electrolysis Plant.

B. Caustic Soda Flaking - D.C.S. Engineer
* Assembled the RS3 Distributed Control System manufactured by Fisher - Rosemount for controlling the plant mentioned above.
* Improved the interlock system of the DCS, based on relays and Elcon safety barriers.
* Installed PLC-SIMATIC S5 for caustic soda flaking packaging line
* Maintained, repaired, and troubleshooting of PLC packaging automatic lines and instrumentation air compressors.
* Calibrated all Field Interface Cards of the DCS and also the magnetic flowmetters.
* Maintained a permanent relationship with Fisher - Rosemount Muggio and Asserind SRL, Italy via SET SRL, Milano, Italy.

IV. May.'97 - Jan.'01 Instrumentation Engineer, Measurement and Control Instrumentation Department - OLTCHIM S.A., Rm. Valcea, Romania
