Project: Environment Emission Mitigation Project

The Project contains study and selection of preferred option for mitigation of six separate sources of BTEX emissions to the atmosphere and two of ground contamination.
The BTEX emissions sources are identified from following sources of the plant
Glycol Regeneration Unit (GRU)
Water settling tank
Closed drains system
Open drains system
Condensate storage tanks
Condensate terminal pond
Ground contaminations are identified from
Plant evaporation pond
Condensate terminal pond.

Responsibilities: Senior Process Engineer
Prepared the report,
Defined the problems and listed the findings,
Identified various options to mitigate the emission of BTEX and ground contamination of hydrocarbons
Selected the preferred option with basis of selection
Notional cost estimation of Recommended options and planning for the next phase of work i.e. FEED and Detailed design.

2) Joint Operation, Kuwait

Project: HAZOP Study for Open drains and Closed Drains System

Joint Operation is an Oil Production Facility located at Partitioned Zone between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and jointly owned and operated by Kuwait gulf Oil Company (KGOC) and Saudi Arabia Chevron (SAC). The Joint Operation (JO) project to be HAZOPed is the Closed/Open Drains system within the Main Gathering Center (MGC) facility.

Prepared the HAZOP Packet
Worked as Secretary to HAZOP Chairperson
Participated in HAZOP study
Prepared the HAZOP close-out report

Project: Goldrush Project – Tissue and Towel Paper Project
Duration: June 2007 to January 2008 (06 Month)
Responsibilities: Project Manager

Procter and Gamble (P&G) is putting a Greenfield project at Utah, USA for Tissue and Towel paper. Goldrush Project is first Greenfield project in USA in last 30 years by Procter and Gamble.
The project involves FEED for additives and Chemicals required for Paper Plant, Utilities, and Electrical system. A project team of engineers and designers (around 18-20) were involved in this project from various discipline. The responsibilities were co-ordination with client for delivering deliverables, monitoring progress.

2) Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) Refinery, Mahul, Mumbai

Project: LPG & Propane Mounded bullets
Duration: From October 2006 to December 2007
Responsibilities: Lead Process and Project Chemical Engineer

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has set up a LPG Mounded Storage facility at Mahul, Mumbai. The project involves enhancing the storage capacity of LPG to meet the requirement of new project planned for Mumbai Refinery.
HPCL also desires to replace two propane spheres with mounded bullets. 10 numbers of LPG Bullets having capacity 1040 tons each & 2 numbers of Propane bullets of 250 tons capacity are installed at site.

3) Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Refinery, Panipat

Project: LPG Mounded bullets
Duration: From November 2006 to December 2008
Responsibilities: Lead Process and Project Chemical Engineer

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has set up LPG Mounded Storage Bullets (2 Nos.) at Panipat, India.

4) NFC, Hyderabad, India

Project: Basic and Detailed Engineering for New Zirconium Oxide and Sponge Project (NZOSP).
Duration: From September 2004 till date (4-5 Years)
Responsibilities: Lead Process and Project Chemical Engineer

Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC) has set up a manufacturing facility at Palayakayal, Tuticorin District, Tamilnadu for production of 500 TPY Hafnium free Zirconium Oxide as an intermediate product and 250 TPY Zirconium Sponge.
The scope of involved was FEED and detailed design of plant, procurement assistance, vendor drawing review, construction supervision and commissioning assistance.

5) SembCorp Engineers and Constructors, Singapore (On-Site)

Project: New Fatty Acid Project FPG Malaysia
Duration: From December 2005 till January 2005 (2 Months)
Responsibilities: Lead Process Engineer

SembCorp E&C was in proposal stage to quote for New Fatty Acid project for P&G at Malaysia and Lurgi Germany, was a Process Licensor.

Project: Feasibility study for 200000 TPA PVC plant through Acetylene Route.
Duration: From July 2005 till November 2006

GACL is having an excess chlorine production. To utilize chlorine surplus stock, a feasibility study was carried out for PVC plant through Acetylene route.
