Back Ground and Details of Experience:
- Presently working with BRUNEI SHELL PETROLEUM as Inspection Engineer through Germanischer Lloyds since July 2007.
Responsibilities are:
Ensure data entry and management completed prior to OSI (On stream Inspection) work pack preparation.
Creation of Inspection reference plan and preparation of work pack for OSI, pre CPPA, Flow line monitoring, and shutdown and ad-hoc inspection.
Carry out fitness for purpose analysis of all anomalies detected and recommending with regard to extent of repairs.
Review of Completed inspection work packs against work scope requirements and check all anomalies raised/assessed/updated.
Preparing shutdown inspection/repair work scopes for maintenance campaign participation asset unit planning meetings

Worked with IBN ZAHR from June-2001 to February 2007 (Saudi European Petrochemical Company) is a subsidiary of the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation, SABIC,a network of the fastest growing, most dynamic petrochemical producing companies in the world,. It is located in the Al-Jubail Industrial Complex in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Ibn Zahr manufactures two high quality petrochemical products from the hydrocarbon gases supplied by ARAMCO, and other intermediate chemicals supplied by other SABIC companies. The Products are Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (MTBE) and Polypropylene (PP). IBN ZAHR has 3 MTBE plant and 2 Poly Propylene plant, having capacity of producing 5000 T /day of MTBE and 1700T/day of PP.
The responsibility includes plant online static equipment inspection, Preparation of shutdown activities, Third-party coordination for NDT requirement etc.
* In-service inspection of vessels, tanks, heat exchanger, columns, etc., corrosion analysis & life assessment, and preparation of inspection schedule.
* Condition monitoring of Reformers / Reactor / Heater, tube skin temperature (Thermography) by using Pyrometer, Agema -Thermovision, hot spot evaluation with remedial action. Reformer burners, headers and pigtails inspection.
* Inspection & testing of boilers, repair procedure developed for boiler tube repairs, Fibro scope (video probe) inspection, coordination of IRIS testing.
* PM schedule preparation for pressure relief system / valves. Inspection & testing witness of PSVs / valves as per API 576 / 598.
* Receiving materials inspection as per approved ITP guidelines / confirmation to the specification.
* Preparation of welding procedure, conducting procedure & welder's qualification.
* Inspection of equipment (i.e. Tanks, Vessels, Heat exchangers, Column, Furnace, Boiler, Reformer, Silos, Stacks & etc.) / Piping, from raw material stage to final fabrication stage as per codes & standards.
* Monitoring fabrication & inspection of structures as per AWS D 1.1
* Witness of NDT methods (UT; MT & PT), review of NDT reports & Radiographic film interpretation. Coordination & witness of special NDT techniques like IRIS, MFL & AET

Measurement by using Krautkramer ¨CDM3, DM4 DL, DMS, DMS 2E; corrosion analysis & material up gradation for suitability of service (i.e. Waste water, crude methanol, Reformed gas, caustic soda lines, seawater service etc.)
* Development of piping inspection program, thickness survey, corrosion rate analysis, remaining life calculation by using Ultra PIPE software & scheduling inspection frequencies.
* As a member of plant change review committee, reviewed all modification of PCR's.
* Involved in RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) analyses for Piping. Developed Condition Based Maintenance (CBM), Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities and work instructions. Preparation of failure mode analysis and preventive task.
* Condition monitoring of steam traps. Provided recommendations based on result as a part of steam saving plan.
* Preparation of shut down activities, Manpower requirement, NDT requirement and budget preparation of the Reliability Dept. for assets, shutdown activities, NDT etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
¡ñ Preparation of WPS&PQR. (Accordance with AWS/ ASME)
¡ñ To witness all Welding Qualification and Procedure Tests carried out on site..
¡ñ Check the Documentation of all site welders and ensure that they are assigned to work that is within the range of their respective qualification records.
¡ñ To check all weld fit ups and if they are within the stated tolerances to "sign off" the joints for welding
¡ñ To mark up and identify all joints for Radiography, and to monitor this operation to ensure that the required NDT percentage is maintained.
¡ñ Interpret Radiographs to the required specification and to maintain Radiographic Test records.
¡ñ Visual inspection all weld joints and to submit written reports on the joints inspected.
