Operations Controller. Responsible for the proper and efficient operation of six(4) combined cycle gas turbine coupled generators (6 – Siemens Gas Turbine V84.3), a horizontal triple pressure HRSG, a triple pressure Steam Turbine in a single shaft arrangement and its 230 KV substation, with a total capacity of 1500 MW and auxiliaries using Teleperm XP for controls and reports directly to the Shift Charge Engineer. Fuel used are High Speed Diesel, Natural Gas and Naphtha Condensate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Inspects the unit's and its auxiliaries, electrical, mechanical, control and instrumentation equipment condition prior to start-up, during operations and after shutdown.
2. Starts, synchronizes and shuts down the gas turbine following proper operating procedure and established parameters.
3. Records all plant/auxiliaries operating data, including all alarms and protective devices being actuated and reports any deviation to the Shift Charge Engineer necessary action.
4. Applies remedial measures to all impending troubles/abnormalities and reports such to the Shift Charge Engineer and concerned maintenance group for assistance.
5. Activates manual mode in cases of emergency wherein the unit or auxiliary equipment is in danger of being damaged.
6. Ensures that the turning gear system is functioning properly during shutdowns or trip outs.
7. Monitors operation of auxiliaries such as the plant switchgear(230 kV/6.6 kV/480 V) and performs corresponding switching schedule as directed by the Shift Charge Engineer.
8. Performs regular test run on black start(2 x 3600kW/1 x 700kW) diesel generator sets.
9. Monitors fuel tank soundings and conduct tank change-over if necessary.
10. Responsible for complete filling of Operations documentations for overall unit performance analyis.
11. Responsible for raising fault notification on equipments vital to the continuous operation of the plant.
12. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Monitoring and inspection of sub-contractor's works in the switchyard/substation as well as in the balance of works for the 230/69/13.8/6.6/4.16 KV substation, control building and distribution construction project at Bataan Polyethylene Corp. (BPC), Petrochemicals Corpporation of the Philippines and Diversified Plastic Film Systems, Inc. Which are all located at Mariveles Bataan, Philippines
2. Supervises and inspects sub-contractors in the above-mentioned construction and installation works and see to it that they (sub-contractor) conform and follow the approved design and meets the acceptable standard quality.
3. Implements safety regulation of Mirant/BPC/Petrocorp/DPFSI and see to it that contractors follow all necessary safety procedures in the construction works.
4. Assists in testing and commissioning of 230/69/13.8/6.6/4.16 KV switchyard/ substations and distribution system of Bataan Polyethylene Corp. (BPC), Petrochemicals Corpporation of the Philippines and Diversified Plastic Film Systems, Inc..
5. Assists in the interim operation and maintenance of the 230/69/13.8/6.6/4.16 KV switchyard/ substations and distribution system
6.
