EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

Kennedy & Mitchell, Inc. (KMI), Denver, CO, 1981-86, Petroleum Exploration Geologist.

Please note: A summary of my "past" relevant petroleum exploration experience is listed first. I have intentionally posted it in non-chronological order. Current professional experience is with environmental consulting firms and begins with the next listed company, following this one below.

I was awarded a full ride academic scholarship from the Kennedy Foundation, a trust fund set up through Kennedy & Mitchell, Inc. (KMI), an oil and gas exploration company. While attending Wichita State University (WSU), I worked part time for two years (1979-80) as a petroleum geology apprentice for KMI in Wichita Kansas. During this time I was mentored by experienced geologist in the office and in the field on drilling rigs. I gained a fundamental understanding of the oil and gas exploration business. Following graduation from WSU I was employed for five years as an oil and gas Exploration Geologist. My responsibilities included complex geologic evaluations, oil and gas prospect generation, interpretation of well logs, scout tickets and other geological data, as well as support in the development of discovered fields. Experienced with moderate to deep well subsurface geologic investigations to include depositional environment evaluation, interpretation, and mapping;

Limited well site geology experience includes picking core points, drillstem and production testing, identifying geologic formation tops and providing recommendations on casing point and TD using drill cutting examination, hydrocarbons shows, lithostratigraphy, wireline and mudlogging interpretation, and regional stratigraphic correlations.

Most of my experience is within the Anadarko Basin of Oklahoma and Texas, and some portions of Kansas. I have a limited familiarity with the geology of the Denver Julesburg Basin in Colorado, the Williston Basin in Montana, and the Midland Basin in Texas. Experience and responsibilities are summarized in the following:
* Prospect evaluation, generation and recommendations to management;
* Evaluation of new ventures at the exploration, development, or production level;
* Knowledge of geological studies from early exploration to the development stage;
* Technical presentations to management, partners, and investors;
* Supervision of all aspects of geology during exploration drilling as required;
* Reservoir evaluation.-volumetric, reserve and risk assessment;
* Exposure to complex carbonate, clastic, evaporate, and turbidite environments;
sedimentary and diagenetic analysis, reservoir mapping, modeling and characterization;
* Identifying potential drilling problems related to specific lithologies, and
* Expert witness testimony to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.

Also included is experience in the sales and marketing of several multimillion-dollar drilling programs to individual oil and gas companies and private investors. In 1984 and 1985, I successfully sold over twenty (20) million dollars of oil and gas drilling programs.
