a). Acetic Acid Recovery plant (1250 litre/hr)
Responsible for the Project Engineering works activities and process studies supervising a team of 05 process engineers.
This project was design and development for recovery of acetic acid (99.9%) from diluted acetic acid (50%waste of another unit) using extractive distillation with n-butyl acetate. This involves distillation tower, strippers, heat exchangers, storage vessels, condensers, separator etc.
i. Preparation of Process block diagram Flow Diagrams, for establishing process parameters and kinetics.
ii. Pilot plant development and commissioning for establishing process data and verification.
iii. Process & utilities circuits designing using heat & mass balance stiochometric calculations concepts for process design basis.
