Working on 11X17 Piping Instrument Diagram P&ID drawing, noting the location of all pipe connection flanges on the P&ID, Verifying that all piping T- connections, blind flanges, reducers, equipment/valve/device: ie. Scrubber, ball valve, actuator, pressure transmitter, compressors/cyclinders and noting piping that is insulated also showing the proper sequential order and location on the drawing symbols. Data Collection gathering information on transmitters, level switches, pneumatic controllers, heat trace controls, temperature elements, pressure temperature and level gauges, manual valves, actuated valves, PSV, pumps, compressors, tanks, vessels, and heat exchangers. Recording all information shown on the name plate/data plate, including manufacturer, model #, range w/units and most importantly the setpoint.
