MAIN CHALLENGES:

Maintain the right balance between proven and innovative drilling engineering techniques and materials.
Review the AFPC procedures and updates were applicable for Well Completion Operation.
Prevent disruption to the Drilling and Workover Sequence due to non-availability of equipment and materials.

Support the drive for improved HSE management by a) looking for, and bearing in mind, the HSE dimension of own domain tasks and b) participation in HSE management system elements and HSE plan.

- 1997-1998 Night Drilling Supervisor. AFPC.

- 1993-1997: Drilling Supervisor on DEZPC* rigs, vertical wells, horizontal wells, sidetrack, supervision on all drilling activities (RIH: tubing & it's accessories, casing & it's accessories…), and all completion jobs.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Responsible for all drilling and related operations as our clients senior representative on the drilling rig.
Well control principles &well control equipment, kill methods( driller, wait &weight).
Planning and monitoring of drilling and completion of wells.
Ensure compliance with well program and liaison with client representative on all operational aspects.
Ordering of material and services.
Coordinating material supply from different stores / departments / companies.
Coordinating services e.g. directional drilling, fishing, drilling tools, liner hangers.
Preparing cementing / completion program and its implementation.
Preparing daily operational program.
Preparing end well reports.
Review and comments on future well program.
Implementation of logging operations and witnessing the same.
Monitoring well profiles as per requirements (both Geological as well as technical).
Daily monitoring and preparation of well-cost reports.
Selection and ordering of bits.
Familiarity with operational / safety systems.
Lead the HSE program on the rig and ensure its effectiveness.
Ensure that the drilling contractor's HSE management systems are implemented and are working effectively during all operations.
Monitor and report on drilling contractor and 3rd party service contractor safety performance.
Lead accident and incident investigations at the well site.
Demonstrate clear leadership and commitment to HSE objectives by active participation in pre-job, pre-tour and the weekly HSE meetings at the well site.
Audit the drilling contractor's Permit to Work System, Planned Maintenance System and other HSE control systems from time to time to ensure correct implementation.
Ensure that safety induction and other HSE initiatives are conducted as required at the well site.
Two stage cementation, Stab-in cementation on surface casings.
Completions in wells using two prod. Pkrs, SSDs, and other wire line nipples and its Wire line operations.
Wells are completed with single selective/non-selective completions (Producer as well as Injector).
As Drilling supervisor responsible for safe and efficient operations of the land Rig. Especially wells are drilled under meter rate contract with mud, bits, fishing etc are decided by us at the rig site. Implementation of HSE standards.
Critical maintenance of Well Control Equipment, maintenance of mud parameters and adherence to the safety norms of the company were very critical to safe operations in those conditions.
Planning of well design, ordering materials, contingency plans for casings, liner hangers, cementing plans with losses and without losses and planning all service hands becomes so critical that running operations without down time is a challenge.

1989 – 1993:

Drilling Engineer & worked as a tool pusher on SPC rigs, sharing and supervising on all drilling activities (run in hole casing & tubing, calculating and performing all types of cement jobs, preparing various kinds of the drilling mud.),

1988 – 1989:
Joined to the Syrian Petroleum Co. - after my graduating from the University, as a drilling engineer - and trained in the SPC fields and on various drilling rigs (heavy & light rigs).

More qualification:

Very good English, reading, speaking & writing (Level five from the British consul).

Good experience on PC skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel,
Microsoft Power Point and IMMPOWER…
