National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) owns and operates thermal power stations across the India. All of these stations have their own plant information and control systems which the local staff uses to monitor and control plant. The Head office-OS control room located at New Delhi monitors the operation of these plants using GDAMS supplied by us. The purpose of this system is to acquire real time data (mainly MW/MVAR/V/Hz and C.B status) on the functioning of the various NTPC generating stations at the HO. Based on this data, the controllers at any location work on better ways of utilizing the capacity of the generating station. Project Description:
¡* Railways data logging system¡¨ is a real time data acquisition system, it acquire the data from fields (96 analog and 96 digital inputs), which are having SMARTDISCS for getting DI data and ADAM devices for acquitting analog data, and keep this data in one file when ever any events occur it updates the data with time stamps. The local host sends a request to RTU based on required data and periodic time for getting the data according to that period.
Role: mainly involved in design and coding phase and design an algorithm for event calculation.

Project Description:
FW Murphy is pioneer in automobile engineering in USA.Power view 101 is a device which is capable of communicating with the Electronic control unit (ECU) which is present at the engine. The Engine will send different parameters, and all the necessary engine related information to the PV101.The PV101 is in turned connected with gauges. The communication between engines with pv101 is SAEJ1939and the physical layer being the CAN. The communication between the PV101 and gauges is MODBUS protocol. The pv101 is used for monitoring the parameters, diagnostics and control of the entire engine. The engine will also send the diagnostic messages to the PV101 so that the user or a service technician should know, what fault has taken place in the engine. The corrective measure for the respective fault will be displayed in the PV101 and so on.

I was involved in understanding and analysis of Common Interface module. Design and Development of driver and stack (EN50221 protocol)in embedded Linux for common interface. The Common Interface constitutes a PCMCIA slot on which CI module (similar to PC-card) is placed. The major functionality of CI module is to unscramble the scrambled transport stream. The CI module will interact with the driver which in turn interacts with EN50221 stack which finally interacts with the application.
Porting and modification of USB driver as per the board requirement in embedded Linux. Device driver developments for NAND flash (512 Mb).
