My name is Patrick Lockhart; I have extensive industry experience in production operations, completions engineering and optimization. I want to continue expanding my career in areas involving production engineering.

My 16 years of experience combined with a commitment to project implementation and completion, make me a uniquely qualified and well-rounded Petroleum Engineering Technologist. Experiences in the last 8 years include: Value Navigator economic analysis, production engineering, completions engineering, well bore optimization, gas compressor and facility installations, well site supervision, production decline forecasting, government applications, gas gathering system modeling, scada system implementation, gas plant allocation design and natural gas liquids marketing.

My work at both large and small corporations includes;
1 Production, completions, abandonment's re-entries, well deepening and testing.
2 Workover of a Nisku B reef increased production from 45 bbl/d to 930 bbl/d.
3 Improved net oil/gas production by improving well bore configurations including tubing changes, plunger lift, coil tubing and acidizing.
4 Lowered operating costs by evaluating facilities, pressures, well performance and personnel to justify adding net incremental production.
5 Field supervision of service rig, slick line, coil tubing, pipeline and facility installations.
6 Developed an excellent relationship with field personnel to help determine where potential exists in gas and oil properties.

1 Economic evaluations, water flood, ESP, rod pump, water source wells, fracturing, acidizing and facilities.
2 Liaison with field production staff on production losses/gains.
3 Project tracking – Exposure to property exploitation, Value Navigator economics analysis, forecasting and infrastructure planning.

2004 June – May 2008: Production/Completions Contractor – Penn West Trust – Strike Petroleum
Duties included:
4 Design and write completion and work over programs for Penn West/Canetic Energy Trust for Drayton Valley properties.
- Production engineer at Canetic Energy Trust.
5 Designed and supervised completion, work over and re-entry opportunities for a small explorer.
6 Improve property value by removing gas gathering system restrictions and relocating gas compressors. Also installed pipelines, pump jacks and electric submersible pumps.
7 Monitoring regulatory deadlines, economics, well production and strategies to improve well performance and lower costs.
8 Communicated with field staff to ensure all decisions were the best decisions.

1997- June 2004: Production Optimization Technologist Wapiti Gas Plant Grande Prairie
Duties included:
1 Tracking reservoir performance by monitoring pressures, flow rates, liquid/gas ratios, corrosion control and de-waxing strategy.
2 Exploitation of gas and oil reservoirs that had been previously over looked by sleeve shifting, plug removal and scale/wax removal.
3 Enhanced production with plunger lifts, coil tubing and well-site compressors.
4 Researching efficient and low cost methods of removing liquid from well bore.
5 Contributed to the design/implementation of a new scada and accounting system for allocation of gas and liquids for the Wapiti Deep Cut gas plant..

1992-1997 Canadian Fracmaster - Petroleum Field Technologist
Duties included:
1 Design programs for reservoir stimulation including fracturing, coil tubing, acidizing and cementing.
2 Red Deer: Operator of field equipment running fracturing, coil tubing, acidizing and cementing equipment to stimulate reservoirs.
