- Participate in selection and perform field tests for all chemicals used in enhancing oil recovery, oil treatment, water injection, oil transportation
- Study the DH and surface problems related to scale formation, perform scale prediction using ScaleChem2.0 software, study the various applications for treatment
- Assist operations on the selection of materials, metallic and non-metallic, for all phases of crude oil and water injection system
- Recommend standards, methods, designs and procedures for specialized processes to be used in enhanced recovery operations including water injection, surface facilities for crude oil handling and transportation
- Design, develop and optimise chemical injection programs in producing operations
- Supply engineering support on water chemistry for water flood performance and water quality for enhanced oil recovery
- Supervise installation of, monitor operation and trouble shooting of cathodic protection systems for tanks bottoms, production equipment internals
- Provide material selection with the assist of consultants for all production phases
- Provide engineering support to producing operations in monitoring and compliance with environment regulations related to corrosion and oil/ water treating
- Provide, inspection and metallurgical analysis to support asset team activities
- Seek out and apply new technologies related to corrosion control, oil/ water treatment and scale control
- Participate in developing standards and specifications for corrosion control and related topics
- Guide, assist engineering, and operating personnel in the application of maintenance of specialized chemical treating and corrosion control programs
- Train and guide corrosion technicians in performing their duties
- Perform failure analyses as required with the assist of metallurgical lab
- Assist Agip experts for performing corrosion assessment for all Agiba fields
- Some knowledge about the smart pig and CIP/DCVG surveys for the buried pipeline.
