* Responsible for complete execution of project from project scoping until construction completion.

Reliability Engineer; SAIC, Houston, Texas (06-2000 to 02-2008) Worked as a Shuttle Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) engineer for SAIC (Science Applications International Corp.) for the aerospace field (space shuttle) as a contractor to NASA. Job specifics are subsystem engineer for APU (Auxiliary Power Unit), PV&D (Purge, Vent and Drain) and Hydraulics Subsystems for space shuttle.
* System engineer that interfaces with the design contractor (Boeing)/Problem
Resolution Team (PRT) and review all design problems, design changes and/or upgrades to the system and determine if the recommendations are acceptable from a shuttle S&MA perspective. In addition, monitor real time on orbit flight anomalies for APU/HYD/PVD subsystems and work any condition which may pose a safety of flight and/or safe return of the Orbiter.
* Understand all Hazards and Critical Items List for the APU, Hydraulic and PVD
Subsystems and use the knowledge for determining safety shuttle concerns.
* Understand APU, PVD and Hydraulic systems from a mechanical, electrical, and operational design aspect.
* Review PRT subsystem anomaly conditions and submit evaluations, reports and/or present observations to NASA safety management on S&MA position for the subject.
* Review subsystem failure history for daily problem resolutions, recurrent problems and hazards.
* Review problem trending and report to management as preventative measures to monitor the APU and PVD subsystems.
* Review subsystem Corrective Action Records (CAR) for Screening and closures by having S&MA position.
* Attend weekly meetings with Boeing and subsystem group to review weekly subsystem activity and support all CARs and any other anomalies with the APU, Hydraulics and PVD subsystems.
* Review preliminary design drawings for Crew Escape Vehicle (CEV).
* Review hazards and fault trees for CEV subsystems.
* Attend training classes to continuously enhance safety and subsystem awareness.

Project Engineer; Bay Area Technology, Houston, TX. (03-99 to 05-00)Worked as contractor on-site at Hamilton Sundstrand, primarily focusing on the space shuttle subsystem Waste Collection Subsystem (WCS).
* Project Manager to design WCS for NASA testing. The project included project cost, schedule and design to duplicate the WCS fan separators for NASA lab testing ($40K).
* Project lead to initiated hazard analysis on all ground support equipment interfacing with the WCS unit.
* Created and completed pneumatic and electrical schematic drawings for all test stands used on the WCS unit.
* Initiated, completed and maintained the maintenance refurbish book for all four WCS
units to list common findings.
* Learned introduction to Pro/Engineer component design program by attending a 40
hour course.

Project Engineer; Nassau Engineering Corporation, Houston, TX. (8-96 to 2-99)
Worked in-house and on-site, primarily with PPG and Hampshire Chemical, as well as Air Products and Nalco/ Exxon.
* Performed front end and detail engineering and developed preliminary, as well as detailed, project estimates.
* Developed project scope and P&ID's.
* Sized and specified equipment.
* Projects included for front end pilot plant expansion ($1.6MM), install reactor overhead condenser ($0.5MM), upgrade caustic dilution facilities ($0.5MM).
* Reviewed and implemented plant improvements by eliminating safety hazards and reducing ergonomic safety concerns.

Maintenance Engineer; Formosa Plastics Corp., Point Comfort, TX. (6-94 to 8-96)
Vinyl Chloride Unit. Primary responsibilities included: focusing on maximizing production by reducing equipment failure and downtime, lowering maintenance costs, and minimizing safety/environmental concerns. Other responsibilities:
* Total plant shutdowns, which included ordering materials, coordinating contract services, scheduling manpower and coordinating repairs with the Operations.
* Maintained historical records for exchangers, columns, tanks, vessels and rotary equipment evaluating repair summaries and data to identify problems. Resolved any abnormalities.
* Developed, estimated and budgeted mechanical improvement project proposals.
* Initiated, reviewed and managed contractor bid packages for mechanical improvement projects.
* Daily functions included the review of: Plant Operations log for any abnormalities, equipment drawings, P&ID's, company's piping specifications, as well as the monitoring of the monthly work schedule and cost, and participating in ongoing year long preparations for annual turn-around.

Construction Engineer; Formosa Plastics Corp., Point Comfort, TX. (8-90 to
6-94) Assigned to mechanical construction team on the Formosa Expansion Project.
The construction team was part of a new Ethylene (Olefins) unit.
* Responsible for complete execution of project from issuing bid packages to until construction completion.
* Assembled bid packages for piping and tank construction.
* Reviewed vendor bids, P&ID's and isometrics for bid packages.
* Managed inventory for mechanical construction materials (primarily valves).
* Determine construction progress for payment, resolve design issues and changes orders, and develop schedules.
* Projects included underground piping contracts for Olefins plant ($3.0MM), aboveground piping contracts for Olefins plant ($12.0MM) and OSBL tank farm construction for Olefins plant ($6.0MM). In addition, supported other aboveground team projects.
* Gained extensive knowledge of construction engineering, design engineering, API,
ANSI, and ASME specifications.
