5. Experience Details:
- Extensive experience in shop inspection and commissioning at site.
- Knowledge of various relevant national & international codes & standards such as API, ISO, ANSI, ASME, ASTM etc.

5.1 Projects done:
1) Essar Refinery Expansion Project, Jamnagar
- Presently working on DCU & FCCU projects of Essar Refinery Expansion project at Jamnagar. Major equipment being handled are Wet Gas Compressors (Elliott make, Main Air Blower (Axial Compressor – Man Turbo make) & Expander Generator (Dresser-Rand make). Present job profile involves Vendor Drawing Review /Approval for above compressor & expander packages.
2) UTKAL Alumina, Orissa
- Worked as lead rotating equipment engineer for the project in M/s UHDE. Major equipment handled included large Agitators, Slurry Pumps, Blowers, Fans, etc.
3) Lanxess Ion Exchange Resin Project, Gujarat
- Worked as lead rotating equipment engineer for the project in M/s UHDE. Major equipment handled included Glass Lined Agitators with mechanical seals, Magnetic Drive Pumps, Screw Compressors, Blowers etc.
4) Ammonia Synthesis Loop revamp project of M/s Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers:
- Worked on the project from the client side (i.e. M/s RCF). Major equipment included Centrifugal Compressors, Steam Turbines, various Pumps, along with other package auxiliaries.
5) 10000 MT (5000 X 2) Ammonia Storage Terminal project of M/s Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers:
- Worked on the project from the client side (i.e. M/s RCF). Major equipment included Screw Compressors, Ammonia Transfer Pumps, Reciprocating Compressors and various Pumps.
6) 1350 MTPD Ammonia project of M/s GSFC, Baroda
- Worked on the project while at ICB Ltd., Baroda. Worked as part of the Static Equipment Group. Equipment include various Columns, Vessels & Heat Exchangers.
5.2 Maintenance Experience:
At RCF Ltd, I worked in the natural gas based Ammonia plant. I was responsible for the maintenance of the plant and auxiliaries. The broad areas of responsibility included
- Maintenance planning (preventive, predictive & breakdown) of a wide range of rotating equipment.
- Daily manpower planning, job allocation & supervision of all maintenance tasks, obtaining safety work permits & co-ordination with production & other departments for smooth execution of all maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring compliance with all environmental & safety regulations during daily work-order execution.
- Reliability centered maintenance, evaluation of equipment condition monitoring reports (vibration trends, bearing shock values, temperature, & oil condition etc.), maintenance of critical equipment history records, failure analysis, evaluating MTBF, troubleshooting.
- Shut-down planning, planning for departmental & contract jobs, preparation of detailed scopes for contract jobs.
- Spares planning, procurement & inventory control. Development of specifications for spares, generating material indents, evaluation of bids & making purchase recommendations.
- Development of detailed drawings & specifications of spares for import substitution & cost control.
- Preparation of Revenue Budget and yearly maintenance plans. Preparation of Capital Budget for plant improvement projects & modifications.
- Experience in SAP PM module as a user. Carrying out all maintenance processing tasks on SAP PM (Plant maintenance) module.
Hands-on experience in specification, selection, maintenance, trouble-shooting & spares planning of following equipment
- Large centrifugal compressors for various services (Synthesis gas, Ammonia, Process air) of different makes (M/s BHEL, M/s Hitachi, M/s Kawasaki, M/s Demag) and different construction (high pressure barrel type & horizontal split casing type)
- Steam turbines of various makes (M/s BHEL, M/s Shin-Nippon, M/s Siemens, M/s Elliott, & M/s Triveni)
- Various types of multistage & single stage centrifugal pumps of various make (M/s Shin-Nippon, M/s KSB, M/s Sulzer, M/s Johnston, M/s Worthington, M/s Kirloskar etc.)
- Various types of positive displacement pumps (gear pumps, screw pumps) of various makes (M/s David Brown, M/s Kosaka labs etc.)
- Various types of mechanical seals for the above pumps of different makes (M/s Flowserve, M/s John crane, M/s Burgmann, M/s Eagle etc.).
- Experience with Dry Gas Seals of M/s Flowserve make for centrifugal compressors (for Synthesis gas & Ammonia refrigeration compressors of M/s Hitachi)
