Currently I am working as a Supervisor with PSI in Venezuela – responsible to supervise many groups of Engineers to help them to conduct and update reservoir studies that go aside with the new planning including new drilling, assessment of new wells and reservoir building management plans. The work included teaching courses. More than 10 projects were reviewed and updated.

Responsible to conduct large simulation studies for the PL5 Reservoir, Balat Reservoir and Gialo Oligocene reservoirs. Working as a lead engineer capacity where I was supervising young Engineers, and carry on presentations and reporting for the projects.

* Petroleum Services – PSI - Houston
Technical director to mentor young Engineers in PDVSA to perform reservoir studies induing simulation updates. Working with three groups

Technical Manager for ZAPATOS project, a complex multi layered gas condensate field with over 500 isolated/communicated reservoirs, and in excess of 50 years of production for 400 wells. Part of this work involved transferring the grid from ATHOS (Beicip Fran Lab Model) to ECLIPSE 300.
The work involved generating PVT data (6 components), grid building using ZMAP and FLOGRID, History match and Predictions. Reservoir communications were included through faults and reservoir boundaries.

Conducted a gas condensate reservoir for El-Paso using ECLIPSE 300 along with PVTI where over 50 wells had over 50 years of production history. A full presentation with reporting has been made to cover the study.

* Completed simulating KINGSVILLE Field that is very tight reservoir and the fluids is gas condensate fluid. This work included simulating the induced fractures, communicating between geographical blocks, matching PVT samples, History match and PLT checking. Prediction runs were also done.

* Matched PVT experiment results for well Bonner1 using "PVTI". Simulation (ECLIPSSE 300) was used as a tank model to investigate the recovery factor.

* Responsible for reservoir simulation studies with the group. This is a part of the Integrated Reservoir Technology Group. The work includes grid building, engineering up to the final prediction phase. Prepared numerous bidding proposals

* Completed two reservoirs simulation studies for PETRO-ECUADOR. Work included the production allocation, grid building, generating SCHEDULE data, conducting multiple history match cases under different scenarios including massive sensitivity runs. Documented over 40 prediction cases including Work-Over recommendations, new drilling potential results, optimum injection locations, field critical rate and more.

Independent Consultant Engineer

* Constructed coarse grid model to simulate the LL7 reservoir (1000 wells connected to the CAMPO reservoir with 900 wells). The study was excellent to validate the volumetric estimate and to study the effect of the communication between the two reservoirs. This is essential to conduct a full field reservoir study using the communication profiles generated in this study. This work was done for PDVSA on behalf of Core Laboratories.

* Completed and documenting four reservoir simulation studies in one project. The work included history match and prediction cases. This included the investigation of the optimum exploitation plans, selecting optimum injection location, identifying new well locations and global future economics and operational plans. This work was done on behalf of Hollirith-Reservoir Technology Group, a Schlumberger Group.

* A volatile oil reservoir study was completed on behalf of Beciep Franlab – France. Work involved reservoir and simulation studies for several fields. ATHOS simulator was used along with Franlab's SIMVIEW, GEOSURF, and SIMGRID routines. Material Balance calculations were used prior the simulation study to validate Production/Reservoir volume compatibility.

* Worked on updating and modifying large simulation model for Centre Del Lago, PDVSA, Maraciabio, Venezuela. Eclipse latest software tools were used such as OFFICE, GRID, FRAME, GRAF (1999 Version). The study was an update, to obtain new history match after introducing new fault locations, new reservoir characterisation to include new rock types, and adjustments of the original hydrocarbon in place. This study was conducted under the Computer Modelling Group- Calgary, Canada.

* New simulation study was done for United Oil and Gas Company in Canada. The study was a Horizontal Well Simulation Study for Ocelot International for a field located in Gabon.

(i) Incorporated the Fetkovish analytical aquifer option into the CMG's Black Oil Model.
(ii) Development of a stand-alone "Well bore Mechanistic Model" which is capable of generating the lift curves by three options.
(iii) Implementation of a novel technique for setting the historical productivity index in the simulator.
(iv) Development of an option to simulate well bore damage effects as a function of the produced fluid.
