Assignment: SHARQ 3RD Expansion Project Jubail Industrial City Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities Included but not limited to overseeing all aspects of works in so far as Insulation and protective coatings, corrosion control, CP systems, Fireproofing reviews on SHARQ 3RD Expansion Project in Jubail. Saudi Arabia.

Conduct monitoring and inspection of piping, equipment coatings inc. cathodic protection and insulation (hot & cryogenic) activities from fabrication shop and site activities.
Reviewing of structural steel fire-protection review and classification as per hazardous criteria layout data. Review and quantify prior to submission to clients. Materials & sub-contractor approvals, Technical deviation reviews concession reviews inc issuing of variation instruction. Review of method statement/ ITP/QCP and HAZCON prior to commencement of works. MARCH 2005 – OCT 2006 INSPECTION SERVICES (SCOTLAND) LTD.
OPERATION MANAGER / INSPECTOR.

Assignment: Various UK and overseas. Inc Alberta Canada.

Performing Inspection reviewing needs of operation and maintenance dept and provide workable directive for items, such as Corrosion awareness studies, PMI inspection, thermal imaging & On Stream Inspection activities.
Reviewing of sub contractor bids to establish assurances of correct interpretation of the actual scope to be undertaken. Provide a workable method statements and safety case study for the project such as Shell FPSO Bonga, Nigeria. – Base line survey of entire stainless steel due to material failures from CSCC.
Quantification of structural steel and piping survey in so far as works to do and specification violation leading towards completion packages.
LPG Storage Facilities, Lloyds of London / QATAR Petroleum/Samsung, carry out inspection on LPG tanks which had signs of condensation and coating failure, using thermal imaging camera to establish and record specific temperature per location, review coating application and report findings.

AUG 2004- MAR 2005 GLOBAL PETRO-PROJECT SERV (SAPIEM), SWITZERLAND.
LEAD ENGINEER, CORROSION DEPT.

Assignment: Shell Hazira, On & offshore handling, LNG Storage Terminal, Surat, India.

Provide Supervision and Inspection duties in strict accordance with Shell specification.
Review all Vendors & Sub-contactors method statements and procedure prior to works commencing.
Reviewing Bids and Tenders for Selection of suitable and competent suppliers.
Issuing of site approvals too all Sub-contractors personnel including applicator and crew supervisor/QC.
Monitoring daily activities during the erection and installation equipments and piping, inc field joints. This included material verification, as per IFC drawings and red lining to ensuring that the installation and erection & application, was in line with project requirements.

Managing Inspection department and monitoring of all daily activities and aid in conducting inspection during the installation of Cathodic Protection systems during the construction of 16 platform Jackets and topsides, and pipeline for sub sea installation. Vendor inspection duties such as Sub Sea flow line FBE works, template & valve unit Inc seat testing/leak. Verification of design details within current specification. Top side verification of accommodation and electric module for gas leak testing in line with DNV,
Daily monitoring of pipelines fabrication process inc witnessing of FBE application, testing, Storage, handling prior to loading to barge.

SEPT 2003 – DEC 2003 RIGBLAST ENERGY SERVICES, BAKU, AZERBAIJAN.
SNR COATINGS INSPECTOR.

Assignment: BP/AMEC/TEFKIN Offshore Project.

Carry out daily supervision and inspection of coating and insulation activities. From witnessing of climatic condition, blotter testing and blasting profiles and cleanliness level through to witnessing of coating application such as MIO, Glass flake and chartek 7 to structures.
Also during this assignment I was required to aid in the layout of the Rig blast new state of the art blasting facility, which was under construction, my involvement ranged from general layout detail to training of local staff to supervise the factory.

MARCH 2002 – SEPT 2003 LLOYDS REG INSPECTION LTD, LONDON, ENGLAND.
SNR COATING INSPECTOR/SUPERVISOR.

Assignment: Amec BKW, Saudi Aramco Berri Gas Plant, and Jubail KSA.

By far my most challenging position: - This included 10,000 tons of structural steel and 190,000m2 of pipe work pipeline, 61 pressure vessel both carbon and stainless steel. (Coated & Cryogenic insulation)Monitoring of all aspects corrosion / cathodic protection/ coatings and insulation activities from early works through to completion and commission phase punch lists. This included daily visiting to lay down yards and witnessing of pipeline and random length coatings application. Carrying out random inspecting and verification of actual application in progress and reviewed all paperwork and inspection reports Insulation: witnessing and inspecting the application of foam glass and vapour barriers material. Monitoring of Intumescent fireproofing (UL-1709) & Refractory application.

MAY 2001 – MARCH 2002 LLOYDS REG INSPECTION LTD, LONDON, ENGLAND.
CORROSION/COATING INSPECTOR. (THIRD PARTY VENDOR)

Assignment: AMEC Capital Projects/Belleli (now Trading as Bilfal) Heavy Industry Ltd Jubail, KSA.

My main role was to monitor and witness the fabrication and coating and insulation application of 61-cold insulation pressure vessel, which was being constructed on site. I was also AMEC's focal person for any technical issue relating to the design and construction of the vessel. Provide weekly progress reports and quality audits. Monitoring of installation of insulation to vessel and inspect as per project Specification.
