* Selection of material / Designing of newly commissioned Pipelines on Impressed / Sacrificial Anodes Cathodic Protection system.
* Scheduling of monitoring programs, E.C.D.A/RBI surveys, Interpretations of field reports.
* Review and interpret corrosion/inspection monitoring data in database, along with trends and existing mitigation measures. Recommend changes in the corrosion criticality analysis and monitoring/inspection program wherever appropriate. Ensure thatall relevant data is entered into the database.
* Corrosion monitoring activities including periodic reporting to provide integrity status of systems and significant trend /limitations.
Participation in the Risk Based Inspection implementation and update in order to establish/review inspection strategies.
* Initiate the implementation of corrosion prevention measures in areas of Cathodic Protection, Corrosion Chemical Inhibition, Materials Selection and Painting Systems, as well as Insulation Systems.
* Cathodic Protection of Storage Tanks. Wells. G.O.S.Ps, Transmission / Distribution lines and Installation of Sacrificial Anodes.
* Initiate and direct activities to support or assist in confirming monitoring data or as the result of failures of equipment or trending predictions.
* Trouble shoots and mitigates interference problems.
* Identify major deterioration threats and ensure that integrity limitations are addressed and consequently propose suitable mitigation techniques.
* Conducting/developing Corrosion control Training programs and trains field personnel in the proper techniques used to measure cathodic protection potentials/ECDA related techniques.
* Training of staff, HSE awareness requirements.
Participate in the regular review of Corrosion Control Materials and Key Performance indicators.
* Participate in Root Cause Analysis and failure investigations.
Coating inspections according to'AWWA'& 'BS standards'
* Designing of CP system on new lines / up grading of existing CP systems.
* Soil resistively surveys / current drain tests / Designing of Ground beds.
* Pipe to soil potential (PSP) surveys / Close interval potential surveys (CIPS) / Pearson surveys (Coating inspections). Inspection / repair of Insulating Flanges / joints.
* Installation of Ground beds i.e. Horizontal / Vertical type & CP test posts.
* C. Scan Surveys / D.C.V.G Survey/ Interference Surveys.
* Monitoring of CP System, mainly on Transmission lines, Inspection / Maintenance of Transformer Rectifier Units / CP facilities of G.O.S.P. / Well Casings and Compression stations.
* Locating of Hotspots / Coating faults on old lines and Bell Hole inspections.
* Preparation of field reports, sketching on computer, Data entries, Graphical representation of field reports / status & recommendations for upgrading/rehabilitation work of old lines and CP systems.
* Recently, I have completed 4 Projects of "ECDA" Surveys on our Transmission lines for which I was selected to obtain Training at "P.P.T (Pvt) office "Johannesburg South Africa"

Joined "SUI NORTHERN GAS PIPE LINES LTD" in 1972 as a'Sub Engr. (Corrosion) on Transmission & Distribution network. Presently working as "Technical Officer Corrosion "Section Incharge of Transmission (1250 km Lines of different Dias i.e. 8" to36"including Compressors Stations etc.)as well as Distribution area network.
To plan programme on monthly / quarterly basis for routine jobs and integrity surveys on old pipelines.
To review the field reports/results and preparation of recommendation/suggestions for upgrading / improvement of the system.
As a Section in charge preparation of annual Budgets / Funds /Recommendations

Worked as a 'Coating Inspector' on 16"dia "PARCO "Line WITH "CORROSION Engineering LTD"on deputation
