RESPONSIBILITIES
AIB VINCOTTE INTERNATIONAL LTD: Carried out corrosion monitoring of on plot and Off-plot, using TR-and angle probes, Off stream and On stream inspections of on plot piping and static equipment, flow lines and other pipelines at the oil production and gathering stations of Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO). Wall thickness data gathering for the PACER RBI (Risk Based Inspection) using Ultrasonic testing.
INDUSTRIAL INSPECTION SERVICES: Inspection on weld preparation, joint fit-up, adequacy of alignment devices, joint cleanliness, the placement & sequencing of individual weld passes, back gouged surfaces.
Inspections on finished weld appearance, weld size, weld length, and the dimensional accuracy of weldment.
Interact with vendors regarding welding activities. Familiar with range of materials including carbon steel, low alloy steels, stainless steels & nickel-based alloys and all common welding processes like SMAW, GTAW, SAW, GMAW.
Inspection of Boilers, Heaters, Vessels, Pipelines and Tanks etc. through various NDT methods like UT, RT, MT, PT. In addition, Visual Inspection on Vessels, Pipelines, Boilers & heat Exchangers, where required.
Preparation of QCP, WPS and witnessing PQR & WPQ for various projects. Follow up corrective action to improve quality system. Control of welders¡¦ performance in production welding & welding supervision.
Evaluate test result of various NDT methods against respective international standards and performed various non-destructive testing works as and when required.
Planning and giving a proper work instruction & guidelines to sub-ordinates to perform NDT operations, establishing priorities and sequences of testing.
