* Senior Structural Engineer on the Bonga South-west /Aparo Define Phase Gas Export Project for Shell Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO). The OGGS RP-A platform is a Shell platform located off the coast of Delta State in Nigeria. It is a gas gathering and production platform, which is part of the Bonga SW/Aparo Field Development. The overall purpose of the project was to increase production and pigging operations by the addition of a new 16" riser to bring gas from the Bonga FPSO and to receive pigging slugs. This platform supports no wellheads. The project involved amongst other discipline requirements, structural modifications of the following existing structures and topside facilities: main-deck, top-deck and access-deck framings as well as Riser supports at every underwater jacket framing level. I developed a new SACS model of the entire offshore platform structure, including the new deck extensions and new 16-inch riser, and performed the in-place structural analyses, structural arrangement design and member sizing, design of welds/joints and design of riser clamps and supports.
* Lead Civil Engineer on Produced Water Re-injection (PWRI) Project at Obigbo North flowstation for Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) Limited. The primary Objective of the project was to prove the concept of Infield Separation and Injection of Produced Water using Compact Separation Technology in the Obigbo North (OBGN) Oil Field. This involved review of site condition, update of the as-built design, review of the SIEP supplied design package, and provision of detailed interface design to hook-up the various skids of the PWRI packages with the existing facilities and to enable homogenized installation of the skids, provision of appropriate structural foundations for the skids and supports for the routed piping as required and preparation of an Approved for Construction (AFC) package.
* Senior Structural Engineer for the Structural design of the Inlet manifold extension deck and piled substructure for the Santa Barbara FOD Project for Shell Petroleum Development Company (August 2006).
* Senior Structural Engineer on the ENANG 'A' External Slot Addition Project for Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPN). The overall purpose of the Project was the addition of one external conductor (Enang 61A ), to accommodate a new well. The project involved the Design, Fabrication and Installation of a protective framework around the 61A external conductor. The structural design process involved incorporating the new conductor guard structure into the existing SACS global model of the Enang A platform and to assess the new overall loading during relevant storm events, and due to boat impact, the analysis and design of the proposed external conductor protective guard frame to confirm the integrity of the guard to absorb a moderate accidental vessel impact and anticipated environmental loads that would act on it in service, while ensuring that the external conductor, platform structure and process facilities are not compromised, structural arrangement design and member sizing, design of welds/joints and lifting and installation analysis.
* Senior Structural Engineer on the UBIT 'B' Internal Slot Addition Project for Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPN). The overall purpose of the Project was to increase production at Ubit B by the addition of a new Internal Slot to accommodate one more wellhead. The project involved structural modifications of the following existing structures and topside facilities: main, cellar, sub-cellar and sump decks, jacket framing at elevation (+) 13ft. The structural design process involved the following: The existing SACS model for Ubit B platform was revised for structural modeling and conductor analysis of the Main deck, Cellar deck, sub-cellar deck, sump deck and top of jacket framing at elevation (+)13ft to ensure that these structures withstand the anticipated environmental, equipment, gravity and live loads that will act upon them in service, while ensuring that the platform structure and process facilities are not compromised, structural arrangement design and member sizing and design of welds/joints.
* Senior Structural Engineer on the UNAM 'A' Internal Slots Addition Project for Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPN). The overall purpose of the Project was to increase production at Unam 'A' by the addition of two new Internal Slots to accommodate two more triplex wellheads. The project involved structural modifications of the following existing structures and topside facilities: main, cellar decks and jacket framing at elevation (+) 13ft. The structural design process involved the following: The existing SACS model for Unam 'A' platform was revised for structural modeling and conductor analysis of the Main deck, Cellar deck, and top of jacket framing at elevation (+)13ft to ensure that these structures withstand the anticipated environmental, equipment, gravity and live loads that will act upon them in service, while ensuring that the platform structure and process facilities are not compromised, structural arrangement design and member sizing and design of welds/joints.
* Project Engineer on UBIT 'H' Gas Lift Project for Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPN). I played an active role in ensuring that the Project schedule was maintained and project information was transmitted to all concerned parties. I also oversaw the activities of the Document Controller and ensured that documents are transmitted to the Client as at when due and also issued the safety statistics report generated by the Safety officer as well as kept track of Project Man-hour usage and developed Project Progress Reports.
* Lead Structural Engineer on the MPN Critical Pipeline segments replacement project which constitutes a subset of MPN Integrity Projects (MIPS) been progressed for execution by a predetermined contracting strategy.
The purpose of the project was to restore functional integrity of main Crude Trunklines from JV production fields, intrafield gathering pipelines and secure supply to the process facility at Qua Iboe Terminal (QIT).
The scope of work included all necessary verification / assessment of the existing specified pipeline on the Asabo, Usari, Idoho platforms, Ubit Sub-Sea Manifold (SSM) near Idoho, QIT flanges for in-coming Idoho and Ubit product pipelines Specifically, the structural scope of work included evaluating the feasibility of installing the new riser before removing the existing riser to minimize production downtime, Provide concept design for any top- side tie-in modification including instrumentation and electrical requirements, Assess Intelligent Pigging facility requirement on each platform ( footprint, lifting mechanism, and congestion).
* Lead Structural Engineer on the MPN Phase II Gas Cap Gas-Lift Project. (Ubit GE, Enang B and Ubit GJ Gas Cap Gas Lift Project), responsible for the execution of the structural scope which included determining the structural work requirements for the gas lift skids.
* Lead Structural Engineer on the Shell Petroleum Development Company (Nigeria) Nembe II Remote Field Manifold Installation Project responsible for the execution of the structural scope of the project which entailed structural analyses and design of Remote Field Manifold Platform as well as the geotechnical/foundation analyses of the substructure.
* Senior Structural Engineer on the Addax Adanga Complex Engineering Studies and Detailed Design Project.
The purpose of these studies (de-bottlenecking and platform modification) was to provide data for company to use the existing ADPP and sister MOPU to handle the increase in production and gas compression interface. The required engineering studies and detail design was for
* The removal of certain equipment and bulk material
* The refurbishment of certain facilities on ADPP
* The addition of certain facilities on ADPP.
