Quality Engineer – (Acting Nuclear Quality Assurance Manager)

My main assignment is to review, rewrite and implement the thirty nine (39) Nuclear Quality Procedures and over sixty (60) newly created forms required to obtain an ASME "N" stamp. The product of this current endeavor was our successfully obtaining approval on the very first attempt. There are currently only 16 valve companies in the country with this stamp, allowing them to manufacture Class 1, 2 & 3 valves for Nuclear Power Plants, covered by Section III of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Also included in this program was implementation of procedures covering ASME NCA-4000, and all eighteen sections of ASME NQA-1 & 10 CFR 50 – Appendix B which covers the Federal Regulations describing the Quality Assurance Criteria for Nuclear Power Plants in obtaining components.
