Rig Supervisor – Project drilling foreman in the Green River Basin of
Pinedale Anticline. Manage & direct the on site execution of well construction from rig up to rig release. Drilling with casing operations in highly pressured & underbalanced drilling with geomechanical constraints requiring Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) techniques incorporating the use of hydrostatically u-tube position balanced &
weighted pills to approximate ECD pressure for BHA extractions &
casing insertions. Water based and underbalanced oil base systems up to 16 PPG directionally drilled to 14,000 feet. Pad drilling surface, setting casing skidding on 6' center-center wellbore surface separation.
Typical casing/liner runs: 9-5/8" surface to +/- 4500', 7" intermediate to
+/- 9800', 4.5" production set @ +/- 14,000". Intermediate & production liners landed in Cameron unitized double-bowl well head systems. MPD
and underbalanced continuous flaring during deep directional operations with oil base mud systems necessitate continuous attention to well bore pressure management frequently requiring emergency shut-in well control procedures and annular gas evacuation. Extensive concentration on 100%
rig site compliance of HSE at all levels of any operation.
Utilizing Nabors-Loffland SCR diesel electric rigs rated to 20,000 feet with
1,000,000 lb hook loads.

Utilized extensive directional experience and fluid migration trending projections to lower cost per foot for operator. Lowered circulation times through lost circulation zones by use of LCM pills prior to and during directional slides through projected zones. Used rig experience to teach inexperienced drilling crews safe IADC methods of operations to lower injury incident rate including tool box meeting.
