ROLES & RESPONSIBLITIES OF TOTAL FLUIDS MANAGEMENT ENGINEER:

* To work with the respective managers to design the TFM programme to meet the customers' needs.
* To work on the rigs to monitor and maintain the desired drilling fluids (mud) properties in order to ensure successful operation of the well and to ensure customer satisfaction.
* To successfully and responsibly predict and manage all Baroid resources (human and chemical) on the rigs and make the necessary decisions affecting the mud operations.
* To communicate with the customer representative on the rig
* To perform and record regular tests and to document and communicate any deviances to the main laboratory, to ensure the provision of consistent quality to customers.
* To supervise the mixing of all chemicals (by workers contracted by the customer) to ensure that specifications are always accomplished.
* To document all Baroid inventory on the rig and the amount used within a particular period in order all materials to be provided by Baroid for the rig
* To liase with Baroid personnel at the head office
* To coordinate the activities of the mud engineers on the rig (Lead engineer)
* To complete a "Mud Report" after each job.
* Ensuring timely completion of all reports
Participate in Incident and Near Miss reporting.
Initiate at least one Stop Card per Tour.
Take active part in Pre-tour and safety meetings, Fire and Emergency Drills.
Prepare JSAs for non-routine and routine operations.
Conduct pre-job toolbox meetings with the assistant Driller, Derrickman and Roustabouts.
