Served on a cape size bulk carrier for one contract.

1998 - 2008: Marine Engineer, Anglo eastern group (Hong Kong)

Served on bulk carriers and container vessels trading across the world and rose to the
Rank of chief engineer through performance after clearing MEO Class-2 and Class-1 exams.
Promoted to chief engineer in 2005. responsible for the safe and efficient running of vessel machinery and adherence to the planned maintenance system. Used to ISM code which has become mandatory for all shipping companies today. Responsible for liasioning with the master of the vessel and the company superintendent, thus helping in efficient running of the vessel. Managing a small group which comprises of 4 engineers and 3-4 crew members apart from hands-on experience in maintenance of machineries.

1995 to 1998: Marine Engineer, Shipping Corporation of India (Mumbai)

Employed as marine engineer cadet in 1995. Sailed initially as junior engineer on general cargo vessels as well as on tankers and later promoted to fourth and then third engineer based on performance after clearing Cl-4 exam. Cleared class-2 in 1998. Responsible for watchkeeping, day to day monitoring and maintenance of vessel machinery and training of young professionals apart from managing the engine room team.
