DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-

Position: Construction Civil supervisor
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Based in Kuwait where KOC has a PMC role on the Facility upgrade & relocation Project.Responsible for supervising and managing the EPC Contractor in coordination, planning and execution of all aspects of work performed by the EPC Contractors and subcontractors.

* Review and approval of all Contractor and Subcontractors and supplier Civil & Structural Procedures and material selections.
* Provide oversight of Contractor and Subcontractors Civil Testing and Inspection Program and review of testing results.
* Provide oversight and technical guidance in Contractor and subcontractor planning and progress efforts for Civil & Structural work.
* Organize and perform inspections and documentation on behalf of the owner of all civil work in progress on a continuing basis and complete final as-built verifications prior to turnover.
* Participate of safety daily STARRT (Safety Task Analysis Risk and Reduction Talk) meeting, weekly safety walk down and monthly award ceremony.
* Participate, weekly and monthly construction schedule and quality meetings.
* Issuing work permits as per KOC procedure.
* Provide constructability input to EPC contractor and engineering core team as trouble shoot design issues and coordinate activities on RFIs, FCNs and SI, NCRs.
* Perform verification of Contractor invoice submittals for progress and milestones achievements of Civil and Structural items prior to payment.
* Assist in the review of Contractor's Claims for schedule extension and/or compensation to assure such claims are technically in accordance with the terms of the Contract.
* Review contractor technical submittals.
* Review drawings and coordinate with discipline engineers where needed, and ensure reviewed drawings are available to all parties.
* Coordinate with Contract Supervisors to assure the required technical submittals are obtained from contractors.
* Monitor contractor inspection programme and quality control programme, review contractors.
* Prepare daily reports and weekly logs for each Contractor
* Review all construction material testing and evaluate the results.
* Prepare punch lists for completed activities and review punch list prepared by contractor to verify punch listed items are satisfatorily completed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Looking after Civil Engineer and QA/QC activities for all Civil works Such as Waste water storage basin Tank foundation, Batching Reactor tank, Pipe rack Foundation and Equipments, Foundations, Cable Trenches, Under ground piping, Surveying, Structural Erection and Verticality, Pipe Supports, Paving, Sub Station Building Testing and inspection all QC formalities documentation.
* Overseeing the Construction on behalf of client to assure quality and Safety Compliance.
* Responsible to review and recommend approval the Contractor materials, submittals, shop drawings and Construction Schedule.
* Reviewing of Excavations plan, shoring plans, Drawings, safe job plans, Manpower requirement, Equipment and Resource loading charts.
* Familiar with the site conditions in coordination with the Unit, Engineering Department and Contractor's Scope of Materials such as Steel, Cement, Soil, Backfilling materials.
* Reviewing design and specifications for the projects.
* Prepare daily accomplishment/progress report, reports to client personnel if there is any variation of contracts.
* Reviewing Construction Work Package understanding & verification of project scope, lay out drawings, structural drawings, bill of materials, materials specifications, foundation drawings, Equipment data sheets, any discrepancies or required any additional information.
* Ensuring of Housekeeping and demobilization as per the schedule
* Reply all engineering RFI, Technical Query, Field Change Notifications etc, and Site Instruction without cost and schedule impact.
* Review and approve all method of statement, procedures, QCP, ITP
* Participate of safety daily STAAC (Safety Task Analysis And Control) meeting, weekly safety walk down and monthly award ceremony.
* Carrying out day to day inspection with clients and Sub-contractors.
* Correspondence related to the project
* Evaluate all civil related tests
* Monitoring progress schedule according to manpower and materials and Implements safety procedure and Arrange work permits for all activities.
