Account Manager (2007 - 2008)
Conducted business development activities while calling on both existing customers and potential new clients. Worked to develop client relationships and leverage contacts to become better aware of developing opportunities. Called on the major independent oil producers across Texas.
* Introduced a new format for technical programs. Used Microsoft Excel to introduce a more formula and graph oriented program designed specifically for presentations. Included more precise physical location descriptors. The changes were welcomed by the IT Department and became the new company standard.

Purchasing Manager (2006 - 2007)
Assumed responsibility of purchasing with the goals of reducing cost of goods sold; improving inventory turnover rate; and improving internal control processes. Managed and optimized all inventory (dry, liquid, and bulk products) at all 6 stockpoints across Texas while supervising the efforts of the 6 warehouse managers.
* Conducted an extensive product/vendor analysis. Reviewed and rationalized all inventory on- hand, eliminating duplicate products. Negotiated with vendors for improved pricing and reduced transportation costs. Adjusted inventory levels to optimize the ROI of inventory. Actions combined to reduce the cost of goods sold by approximately $1.2 million in 14 months.

Account Manager (2004 - 2006)
Conducted business development activities while calling on both existing customers and potential new clients. Worked to develop client relationships and leverage contacts to become better aware of developing opportunities. Called on the major independent oil producers across Texas.
* Developed a new account. When a major operator (client) abandoned a project and a small producer/partner took it over (I) worked closely with the new operator and grew the business to more than $600K in annual sales.

Gulf Coast Regional Manager
Performed and managed all functions of the regional office (staffing, operations, sales, accounts payables, product development). Called on geologists and drilling engineers to secure access to technical drilling information. Developed a library of more than 25,000 well files of technical drilling information for the Gulf of Mexico Gulf Coast Region (both onshore and offshore). This was the primary revenue generator of the organization.
* After 5 years, re-located the office from Lafayette, La. to Houston, Tx. Negotiated severance for employees. Scouted re-location areas and received management approval for new location. Hired new staff. New operation fully functional within 30 days.
* Developed a new source of advertising revenue. By soliciting the drilling contractors to include their company logos on the company's publications, i.e., maps., a new source of revenue was created.
* Negotiated with a state agency, revealing that an important publication was not reaching all potential users. Convinced the agency to allow the company to make the forms available via the company's website.

Purchasing Manager/Inventory Manager
Purchased all drilling fluids products and managed inventory of same. Introduced the use of the Purchase Order/Purchase Requisition system.
* Developed new par stock levels and brought inventory levels into conformity with actual usage.

Staff Program Writer (1983 - 1986)
Researched and gathered offset data needed to author mud programs. Accompanied the salesperson and performed technical presentations to the client's engineering staffs.

Field Mud Engineer (1981 - 1986)
Worked the Gulf of Mexico and South Louisiana land and inland water locations. Experienced in all water base systems and both diesel oil based and synthetic oil based systems. Engineered all systems/all density ranges.
