Document Control Manager on Suncor's Firebag program, Stages 1 through 6. Primarily responsible for providing support to Suncor's contractor's, writing and approving Firebag project procedures and standards, providing interpretation of Suncor Standards, and assisting project document controllers with daily issues on the project. Other duties include:
Training of document controllers and contractors on Firebag project.
Review and approval of contracts and purchase orders for document control purposes
Expediting documentation from contractors and vendors toward fulfillment of contract requirements
Management and supervision of a forty person team as well as outside contractors.
Auditing of EP contractors documentation and EDMS as well as their compliance to Suncor Standards and population of Suncor repository (Livelink).
Coordinating red-line and as building processes
Acting as Livelink Super-User and providing LL assistance to contractors
Approval of As Built drawings and subsequent uploading into Livelink
Approval of Void/Obsolete and Cancelled drawings
Writing and approval of project procedures
Approval and control of requests for information and specification deviations for our site and contractors
Running of document control reports as required
Coordination of turnover and archiving of documentation and project closeout from each of our EP Contractors.

Document Control Lead on Canadian Natural Resource's Ltd's Horizon Project for Phases 1, 2 and 3, based in Calgary Alberta. Our group was responsible for approximately 10,000 Engineering Documents, as well as approximately 20,000 Vendor Documents. My duties included
Supervising a ten person team issuing both inhouse and vendor documentation
Controlling issues of CWP packages to contractors
Coordination and approval of contracts and purchase orders with procurement
Expediting documentation from vendors and contractors to fulfill contract requirements
Weekly reporting of outstanding documentation from contractors
Coordinating red-line and as building processes
Development and implementation of corporate document control procedures

Document Control Engineering Lead February 2004-Dec 2005 Amec
Document Control Lead on Syncrude's Aurora South-West Quadrant Replacement Project based in Calgary. Our group is responsible for approximately 13,000 Engineering drawings and approximately 28,000 Vendor Documents. My primary focus is on the compilation and distribution of Construction Work Packages to be delivered to the contractors on site, and on the identification, receipt and processing of documentation required to be as built. My duties include the following:

Compilation and issuing of Construction Work Packages

Coordination of deliverables within purchase orders and contracts

Assigned to the $2 billion Sable Offshore Energy Project Alliance as a document controller based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Our group was responsible for the registration, distribution and filing of approximately 16,000 engineering documents and 9, 500 vendor documents using Axiom, the project management system. My main duties and responsibilities included:
registration and issue of engineering and pipeline documentation to construction sites, registration, distribution, tracking and issue of vendor documentation to engineering, suppliers and construction sites, registration and distribution of ECN's (Engineering Change Notices), CAN's (Construction Advisory Notices) and Discussion Notes, maintaining and updating filing systems for the above documentation, assisting in the archiving of project documentation, assisting in the handover of project documentation to Operations, support to engineering, construction and Operations with document copy requests, updating on a weekly basis the Vendor Document Close-out Report in Excel running document control reports as required, other duties as assigned by my supervisor.
