Duties and responsibility:
ľ Visual Inspection of Fit up and welding joint. Performing visual inspection as per code specification or follow the procedure.
ľ Inspection and witness all site quality activities like electrodes, fit up, weld visual etc.
ľ Quality Control of welding procedures, including consumables, parameters, purge control, preheating and interpass temperature control etc.
ľ NDE coordination, interpretation of radiographic films, witnessing Penetrant and magnetic particle testing.
ľ Inspection of various NDTs (DPT, MPT, RT and UT).
ľ Inspection over different types of welding process, SMAW, TIG etc. Filler rods for different materials, welding procedure qualification as per ASME Code Sec. IX, welder performance qualification as per ASME Sec IX.
ľ Monitoring welder's performance weekly and daily welding rejection rate.
ľ Monitoring the Welding activities as per WPS, PQR & Quality System Procedure.
ľ Witnessing Welder Qualification Test for Welders.
ľ Coordinating for PMI selection joints and witnessing.
ľ Follow up with subcontractors for stage wise inspection like fit ups, weld visual and verification test certificate.
ľ Inspection of piping spool as per Isometric drawings.
ľ Monitor and control of piping spool dimension and orientation as per Isometric.
ľ Material utilization as per specifications and standards (pipe, fitting, bolts, gasket etc.)
ľ Supervision of workshop activities for pre-fabrication of associated piping work.
ľ Implementation of inspection test plans (ITP).
ľ Preparation and compilation of documentation relating to inspection activities such as material certification, welding NDT, pressure testing etc. for client submittal.
ľ Witnessing of hardness test in site for welded joint and base metal.
ľ Reviewing of PWHT chart, Witness of hydro test.
ľ Ensure that all required NDE examination shall be performed prior to final system hydro testing.
ľ To support site manager and QC manager of the Company.
ľ Expediting of finalizing NCR issued by the Company's client and/or end user's engineer.
ľ Inspection and witnessing all tests of tanks (Carbon steel and stainless steel).
ľ Welding inspection, peaking, bending check of vertical & horizontal joints.
ľ Nozzles orientation, fit-up, alignment, level & welding inspection.
ľ Worked as permit receiver (Confined space entry) for tie in point in epoxy plant

Duties and Responsiblity
ľ Inspection of incoming raw materials and reviewing the heat numbers.
ľ Reporting to QA/QC manager about daily activities and preparing and submitting weekly look ahead schedule.
ľ Visual Inspection of Fit up and welding.
ľ Implementation of WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) and PQR (Procedure Qualification Records) of the project.
ľ Familiar with SAMW, GTAW welding progress.
ľ Witnessing DPT and MPT test for weld and base metal.
ľ Monitoring and inspecting the prefabrication works by the sub contractors including the inspection of incoming materials, material handling, heat number transfer activities, and Flush grinding of orifice flanges.
ľ Inspecting the painting works done by the subcontractors on the fabricated pipe spools. Make sure the Pipe spools are properly covered with the end caps and safely transported to the site without any damages.
ľ Ensure satisfactory identification of materials, proper protection of piping and fittings. Verify proper size and schedule of pipe, rating of flanges, proper flange face and fittings.
ľ Inspect piping just before erection to verify that interior is clear of foreign materials. Check edge preparation and fit-ups to verify that areas to be welded are free of contaminants.
ľ Check flow direction arrows on valves; verify that the properly identified valves are installed in accordance with the flow diagram.
ľ Preparation of hydrostatic test packages, which includes preparation of marked up P&ID's and isometric drawings and all related documents related pertaining to hydro testing.
ľ Check and review related documents, P&ID's and isometrics, for correct revisions and lines numbers are correct as per P&ID.
ľ Ensure correction or completion of punch list items. Check and assure that all joints are exposed for examination during pressure test. Ensure that isolation or disconnection of equipment not to be tested. Check vents are open when filling and draining lines.
ľ Witness hydro tests, including verification that pressure gauges have adequate dial range and is calibrated.
ľ Verify that the testing pressure does not exceed the allowable test pressure of any equipment in the system.
ľ Verify that the required test pressure was maintained for the specified length of time with no acceptable leakage.
ľ Check flow direction arrows on valves; verify that the properly identified valves are installed in accordance with the flow diagram.
ľ Confirm repairs, re-testing and re-inspection in accordance with specifications. Ensure blinds are removed and correct gaskets are installed.
ľ Verify that control valves and other items that were removed for the test are replaced. Check that water has been removed from check valves.
ľ Preparing the QA/QC Dossier for the project Assist document turnover and transmittal during project completion.
