Delta Petroleum 8/2007 – 2/2009
DRILLING SUPERVISOR / DRILLING CONSULTANT
Supervised the entire drilling process from start to finish of vertical and horizontal wells. Ordered all equipment, conducted pre-spud and daily safety meetings, monitored daily drilling, and recorded accurate information. Made any necessary adjustments to problems while drilling, both with rig and any down- hole problems such as abnormal formation pressure. Determined hydrostatic pressure, changes in mud weight, bore and formation pressure. Called in casing running personnel, supervised cleaning, drifting procedures, and ensured all pipe tallies were accurate and lengths matched TVD. Reviewed all casing procedures as designed with cementers to keep displacement calculations as planned. Supervised the Nipple up and Testing of Blow out Preventers and closing units and conducted Integrity leak off Test. Updated well control sheets and made adjustments for ever-changing hole conditions to eliminate problems before they happened. Supervised any operations taking place on location including fishing, flow testing, loss of circulation, changing mud properties and design, well control, perforating, bond cement, fracturing, liner work, rig operations, hauling or storing materials, and anything else that might come into play with drilling. Monitor well costs to make certain all costs are at or below designed AFE budget.
* Successfully put on line the first well in field after company had 2 years of unsuccessful drilling.
* For Vega Lake Project, analyzed the current drilling design and made changes to improve drilling and rig times; wells that had taken 20 days were drilled in 10-11 days, keeping costs to a minimum.
* Implemented a change in surface casing running procedures using a circulation/fill tool; several days were eliminated off the drill design, saving approximately $100K - $500K per well.
* Maintained a strong safety record with low non-productive time; successfully drilled major wild cat wells with unknown pressures and severe lost circulation problems & ensured no damage to wells, equipment, personnel or environment.
* Consistently pre-planned to keep an ample supply of parts, tools, and equipment needed at all times and ordered items in a timely manner to cut down on any downtime.

El Paso Company 2005 – 8/2007
DRILLING SUPERVISOR / DRILLING CONSULTANT
In different sites and fields in Wyoming, Utah, and New Mexico, supervised over 30 personnel members at any given time while drilling vertical and horizontal wells.
* Resolve problems with cement bonding, evaluate issues with supervisors, and communicate proper information in order to work though and resolve problems.
