Title: HSE Advisor – International
Employment Type: Contractor
Duration: Short Term Contract (6 Months)
Day Rate: Sterling £300
Notice Period: 1 week
Reporting to the International HSE Team Leader on multiple overseas projects (Including: Tunisia / Germany / South Korea), my duties where as follows -:
* Oversee day to day management of the HSE Management System for all Project and elements of the development of Project sites.
* Recommends measures to reduce or eliminate industrial accident and health hazards in compliance with legislative requirements
* Responsible for maintaining safe and hazard free working conditions by monitoring company's safety and health programme to ensure compliance.
* Carry out investigations of incidents and near misses. Responsible for fact finding activity behind any accident/incident that occurs at the project site.
* Supervise the job safety analysis activity that needs to be carried out for any new planned activity across disciplines.
* Ensures that all safety practices are followed by the employees to prevent any hazardous accident/ incident on account of any activity.
* Day to day management and direction of staff within designated area including Supervisors and Trainers.
* Maintain a daily working relationship with line management and subcontractors in relation of their respective compliance with the provisions of the HS&E policies and manuals and legal requirements.
* Review the effectiveness of hazard controls/mitigations and report HSE performance against as required.

Title: Senior Construction HES Advisor - Oman
Employment Type: Contractor Rotation: 5 weeks on / off
Day Rate: USD $655
Reason for Leaving: Project suspended
USD $7 Billion Oil & Gas Construction project in Mukhaizna Field - Block 53 (Oman), my duties were a follow:
* Supervising over 25 contractor safety advisors (3,000 workers on site)
* Direct and Coach fellow Client HES Team members.
* Stand in / Back Up for HES Team Lead position.
* Support Construction Management Team with all HES matters.
* Client representative for CPF Project for all HES matters.
* Daily liaison with Contractor Managers and Supervisors, advising on day to day construction activities.
* Advise, Direct and Coach Contractor HES personnel on all HES Matters.
* Ensure all project Incident's & Accident's are investigated sufficiently on behalf of Oxy.
* Ensure all project HES action items are closed in a timely manner.
* Ensure Contractor promotes hazard awareness and a positive safety culture.
* Carry out regular workplace inspections to ensure procedures are followed in accordance with HES Management System, Oxy requirements and local legislation.
* Advise on HES topics that Contractor Supervisors require to develop during Tool Box Meetings based on observation, problem areas and trend analysis.

Operating in the North Sea on an oil installation, my duties where as follows -:
* Provide support on safety and environmental issues to the OIM / Platform staff and promote ideas for compliance with policies, procedures and legislation in conjunction with the onshore HS & E Dept.
* Control and promote the STOP program
* Coach and advise all platform personnel in order to increase their understanding and awareness of all existing and new legislation.
* Participate in and hold safety meetings
* Advise, coach and support all platform personnel in order to raise their safety awareness, attitude, behaviours and performance.
* Carry out risk assessments, auditing and applying reports
* Ensure that all accidents and incidents are thoroughly investigated so that the root causes are fully understood, communicated and effective actions implemented to prevent reoccurrence.
* Carry out daily work site inspections
* Carry out offshore Induction of new personnel to ensure an adequate understanding of offshore safety in relation to platform standards and requirements.
* Coaching of Medic in HSE issues
* Implement safety related procedures and safety awareness campaigns
* Ensure all operational activities are carried out in a safe manner and in compliance with HASAWA 1974 Statutory Regulations and Guidelines

* Provide Holiday / Sickness cover for HSE Advisors (Onshore & Offshore)
