* Keystone Pipeline, TransCanada Pipeline Ltd. /ConocoPhillips: The US $5.2 billion project involves 3,456-km international pipeline which will transport crude oil from Alberta, Canada to Illinois and Oklahoma in U.S. The Canadian portion involves the conversion of 864 km of existing natural gas pipeline to crude oil transmission service and construction of 373 km of pipeline, pump stations and terminal facilities at Hardisty, Alberta. The U.S. portion includes construction of 2,219 km of pipeline and pump stations.
* Keystone Pipeline Expansion (KXL), TransCanada Pipeline Ltd. /ConocoPhillips: The US $7 billion expansion is complementary to the Keystone Pipeline and is an approximate 3,200-kilometre, 36-inch crude oil pipeline that would begin at Hardisty, Alberta and extend up to U.S. Gulf Coast in Texas.
