10/08 to 4/09 Contract Position with Mustang Engineering – Houston, Tx
Senior Piping Designer
Served as checker for the BP Valhall ReDevelopment platform in the North Sea. I checked equipment arrangement drawings, iso's and pipe supports developed in PDMS and AutoCad2008. I supported piping engineering by maintaining the flow of information between piping and stress analysis engineers thru the PDMS database. I maintained a database to communicate with the client and construction regarding changes in scope and design.

12/05 to 07/08 Contract Position with Keppel AmFels – Brownsville, TX
Senior Piping Designer
Served as checker for various offshore rig designs for one of the largest rig building companies in the world. AutoCad drawings were produced from a 3D model designed with Tribon Shipbuilding software. Developed material requisitions for purchase of materials. Due to my expansive background I was asked to develop, in concert with the home office in Singapore, design and drafting standards to be used in the piping department.

4/02 to 10/05 VECO, Alaska – Anchorage, AK
Principal Piping Designer
Most recently served as lead piping designer for BP Alaska Greater Prudhoe Bay and Milne Point Capital Projects. Transfer was after completion of well pad design and small projects for Conoco/Phillips Alaska. I, as lead piping designer, developed definition of requirements and schedules for 5 personnel utilizing Bentley/AutoDesk 3D and ACAD 2D programs and oversaw the total design and participated in all review functions. I provided design and checking for various projects. I operated from the North Slope facility for six months as a designer for BP's North Slope projects group working on various well tie-ins to provide oil recovery for diminished wells as well as O & M support. Prior to that, I was the lead designer of the well tie-in group operating in the Anchorage office, bringing positive results of quality and timely delivery of projects. I worked as a field engineer relief on the North Slope Seawater Treatment Plant facility to support construction efforts by assisting with field design and purchasing. VECO provided me with training in Bentley 3D design, client specific Windows based programs and safety matters. I have conducted safety orientation to personnel on the North Slope and training of associate designers in the piping arena.

7/01 to 3/02 Occidental Chemical – Castle Hayne, NC
Senior Designer/Project Manager
Design on MicroStation various mechanical and structural projects in the largest chromic acid production facility in the US. Review with production, maintenance and safety personnel to address concerns and incorporate suggestions. Solicit and select contractors to fabricate and install projects. Work closely with contractor and start-up personnel to assure smooth transition.

5/01 to 7/01 VECO International – Anchorage, AK
Principal Piping/Mechanical Designer
Various projects dealing with the petrochemical industry in Alaska. My duties involved interface with the client supplying them with engineering estimates and gathering information for construction. I made field trips and worked with operations to determine the most effective means of installation of final design. Work is produced on AutoCad 2000 and changes to existing drawings using Cad Overlay software.

2/96 to 4/01 Perigon Engineering, P.A. - Wilmington, NC
Senior Designer/Field Engineer
Duties included the layout and design and supervision of other piping designers of the pollution abatement system for an optic fiber manufacturing facility. All design was completed on AutoCad 14. Prior to this I was assigned as a field engineer/designer to a chlor-alkali manufacturing facility for 2 ½ years. My purpose there was to prepare new and renovate existing equipment and piping systems (AutoCad 13) for a $32MM expansion/upgrade of new cell membrane technology. I worked with a Process Engineer to upgrade chlorine gas compression & liquefaction, commercial bleach, concentrated caustic, hydrochloric acid & delivery systems. I coordinated design and installation efforts with the plant and prime contractor, working with all crafts on site from site development thru check out and start up.
The previous 2 years I was in a chemical plant to design and implement construction of debottlenecking projects, working with shop crafts in the procurement, scheduling and fabrication of these designs. Work was on AutoCad 13 and MicroStation 5.0 softwares as well as other Windows based programs (i.e. Word, Excel) and SAP purchasing software.
