Basic and detail design of electrical power generation, distribution & utilisation system and various system studies as short circuit & earth fault study, relay co-ordination study, load flow study, motor starting & voltage drop study etc primarily in manual in the beginning of career and later in ETAP when it came to market.

Preparation of single line diagram (SLD), control schematic diagram, interconnection diagram, cable layout, designing of lighting system & lighting layout, lightning protection system design and layout, grounding system design and layout, substation equipment layout, hazardous area classification drawing, fire detection and alarm system layout, communication system layout etc.

Preparation of technical specification, datasheet and purchase requisition for power distribution package, HV & LV switch gear, transformer, MCC, battery and charger system, capacitor banks, UPS system, variable frequency drive, HV & LV induction motor, HV & LV cables etc. Preparation of cable schedule & cable drum schedule. Review of vendor drawings & documents, turnkey contractor's detail design etc. preparation of all design calculation on calculation sheets.

Preparation of Bill of Quantities for electrical erection & testing/ commissioning procedures. Job experience also includes inspection, estimation & tendering, technical bid evaluation.
