Career Summary
A multi-skilled mechanical/piping, Construction Superintendent/manager, QA/QC Engineer, with over 20 years international experience in the oil, gas, petro-chemical and power generation industries.
Started as trainee NDT technician with Tri-Scan Inspection Engineers, once qualified in inspection and NDT techniques working on various small projects throughout London and the home counties. Since that time have worked on many major projects world wide, including pipe lines (both on & off-shore), pipe mills, offshore construction yards, offshore hook-ups & maintenance. QA/QC inspection and corrosion monitoring. Refinery, petro-chemical and gas plant grass root construction from initial civil work through to final hydro-testing & QA/QC documentation compilation, commissioning and flawless start-up. Familiar with all industry standards and those of major companies such as Shell, Caltex, Chevron etc.
Resigned from COTL, (Chevron Offshore Thailand Ltd), in 2006 as construction consultant during major expansion projects of offshore fields in the Gulf of Thailand. Other countries worked in include Philippines, Malaysia, China, India, Columbia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Libya. Since October 2006 working in Russia as Construction Engineer, QA/QC Engineer, for Sakhalin Energy.

Duties; Construction superintendent/CAR on a number of different vessels/barges used during 5-year period of upgrade to Chevron fields. Supervision of sub contractors and overall responsibility for all contractors, (mechanical, diving, vendor), activities including, rigging/lifting, scaffolding, welding etc during major modifications and installations to live offshore platforms/structures, within PTW system. Liaising with onshore engineering group to resolve engineering design problems/clashes with existing structure/pipework. Works included deck extensions, pig receivers, gas compressors, major and minor piping installations/modifications, sub-sea repairs and riser installation.
Responsible for development, review and implementation of job specific; JSA's, HSE procedures, safety stand downs, safety training, method statements and work instructions, STOP system, etc. Responsible for ensuring all HSE procedures were adhered to, by both sub-contractors on board and vessel crew. Liaising with vessel officers and crew to ensure smooth day-to-day operations i.e. maintaining of correct PoB documentation, that all safety stand down requirements were followed.
