1 Works involved fabrication and inspection of process and power piping, structural steel work and job order review and incoming raw materials inspection, welding consumable inspection.
2 Co-ordinate with client inspector for inspection activities and documentation.
3 In process welding inspection, visual inspection and final dimensional verification.
4 Co-ordination with NDT, PWHT activities, radiography film interpretation.
5 As the components are for defense purposes, each and every stage of the client / customer or by a third party inspection agency nominated by the customer
6 After cutting of the material, fabrication is done according to the drawing and
QCP in accordance with the customer's requirement
7 Quality records preparation and documentation as per customer requirements
8 Welding is carried out on the fit-up using Correct electrode, correct welding method. Need to ensure whether the electrodes have to be preheated or not
9 Once the welding is finished, all the supports and stiffeners need to be removed
And ask the QC personnel to inspect before doing assembling of other structures and accessories
10 If the welding passes the Non-Destructive tests the components are sent for painting, say, if the results happen to be negative or failed, then rework has to be carried out
11 Finally a through inspection by the QC department in presence of the customer is done and component is shipped from the shop floor.

Period: From Jun' 2004 to April 2005,
Employer: M/s. Vengata Engineering Pte Ltd.

Responsibilities
1 Interpret fabrication drawing and blueprints. Marking, gas cutting, shearing, welding, drilling holes, fitting and finally assembling the conveyors.
2 Carried out UT, MT, RT, PT carryout the inspection according to the standard and specification/procedure and submitting a detailed report of the findings to
M/s IAEC Boilers & M/s BHEL. Weld monitoring control and documentation.
NDT co-ordination and weld repair calculation.
3 Once the material are received check for the mill certificate and the specification of the corresponding to the necessary QCP(Quality control procedure)
4 Once the material are cut, we need to put a layout and carry out fabrication according to the drawing using TIG/MIG Welding process whichever is applicable
5 The most important thing is to ensure that the whole process is carried according to the QCP and complies to the customer's requirements as well.
