Responsibilities as MECHANICAL & PIPING COMMISSIONING ENGINEER
Conduct onshore pre-commissioning and commissioning, pre-commissioning, testing and commissioning activities of piping and mechanical systems. Prepare and review procedures. Ensure that all commissioning works are carried out as per commissioning systems procedures and manuals and ensure that HSE expectations and acceptance criteria are adhered to. Attend and witness factory acceptance tests of mechanical equipments. Monitor clearance of commissioning punchlist items prior to start up and plant turn over. Review red mark as-built drawings. Review handover documents of all piping/mechanical systems prior to turn over to operation team. Prepare and review mechanical and piping checksheets overview. Attends onshore project management coordination, pre-mobilization and coordination meetings with OIM and platform operation team. Prepare commissioning schedules and review commissioning support group reports. Provide offshore hook up and commissioning assistance. Coordinate with client commissioning manager, engineers and third party inspectors. Assist vendor representatives and platform operation team during start up. Train commissioning engineer trainees.
Responsibilities as PRE-COMMISSIONING & COMMISSIONING SUPERVISOR
Identify restrains on the progress of commissioning work in order to provide timely resolution and/or to minimize disruption. Aware of the commissioning implications on the action of parties concerned and able to advise the Commissioning Engineer of these implications. Work with the client's personnel to implement written and verbal instruction necessary for smooth pre-commissioning / commissioning activities on the system / unit based on instruction from Commissioning Engineer on resolving restrain on the project schedule. Ensure isolation and purging according to the safety procedure in case that system, facility or unit is subjected for maintenance or repairs. Conduct tightness test on each line system and verify the occurrence of leaks. Supervise the work prior to mechanical completion, assisted by commissioning support group. Perform early punch listing on equipment and associated pipelines prior to pre-commissioning of each system to affect minimal rework later in the project like pre-hydro punching. Perform mechanical run-in of pumps, blower, fan, compressors and associated equipment. Check out of erected facilities in static condition, to confirm all material is present, correctly installed, safely terminated, internally cleaned and free of foreign materials. Carry out tests to indicate continuity and containment. Perform simulation test to dynamically verify the operability and safety of equipment and systems. Ensure plant safety regulations and company policies are adhered to including Permit to Work and Isolation and Depressurization Procedures. Supervise the proper installation of all missing plant items as reflected on punch lists. Monitor work permit issuances and check strict implementation of all safety requirements during commissioning works. Review and monitor offshore punch list reports. Make daily planning to meet the commissioning time schedule. Verifies and checks if all individual items of plant have been installed and hooked up completely with all instrumentation, protection and control in accordance with hook-up drawings. Prepares progress reports on all commissioning activities. Review mechanical completion packages.Prepare pre-commissioning and commissioning schedules as per system priority based on commissioning matrix.
Responsibilities as MECHANICAL & PIPING QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTION ENGINEER
Involve in the inspection / testing and alignment of static and rotating equipments such as Horizontal & Vertical Pressure Vessels, Columns, Compressors, Tanks, Pumps, Generators, Overhead Cranes and etc. Involve in the dimensional checking and material traceability of piping systems. Witness hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of pipelines. Witness internal cleaning, hydrotesting ( shell and tube side of exchangers), test medium filling and final closure of vessels, columns and tanks. Conduct site inspections and prepare field inspection reports and pressure test reports. Hydrostatic / Pneumatic Test Package Review and Approval including witnessing of test. Witness leak testing during final reinstatement. Review weld status lists, WQT and WPS. Coordinate with Third party ( BV & SGS) inspectors and consultants.Prepare and issue Non-conformance Report (NCR), Field Trouble Report (FTR) and Quality Deficiency Report (QDR) as necessary. Verify that dimensions, fit-up and welds preparation are in accordance with the engineering drawings. Visual inspection and dimensional check of completed weldment against specification requirement and drawings. Compile and review qa/qc checksheets. Attend line checking and final walkthrough of completed lines with client representatives and inspectors.
Responsibilities as PIPING SUPERVISOR
Supervise fabrication and erection of pipespools and pipe supports as per latest issued for construction drawings and ensure that project specifications and standard codes were correctly executed. Review P & I.D's, general arrangement plans, isometric drawings and pipe support details. Ensure that work permits and safety standards are always practiced at work site as per project HSE policies and PTW system. Conduct safety tool box meetings. Ensure piping materials used for fabrication and erection are thoroughly checked as per project materials specifications. Coordinate and liaise with engineering department for any drawing discrepancies. Responsible for manpower distribution, three days look ahead, work volume and equipment scheduling. Coordinate with the client regarding any piping modification works due to clashing and check to the general piping plan if there is any future pipeline or equipment to be installed. Raise site technical queries on all revision works that concerns piping as to variance in design and as per site necessity. Responsible for making of hydrostatic/pneumatic test packages and check if all required documents are in place prior to any testing and flushing. Supervise hydrostatic/pneumatic testing and reinstatement leak testing of piping systems. Supervise offshore piping hook up tie-in works and ensure that work permits are signed and gas testing are conducted prior to start of any hot work activity. Update and monitor progress status of piping foremen accomplishment reports. Verify that all construction punchlist items and outstanding work to do lists are completed prior to mechanical completion.
