Design Engineer, Cased Hole Completions Group
* Designed and tested hydraulically actuated and spring retracted CMP Defender sliding sleeve. Performed hydraulic & stress analysis, functional and impact testing of the sleeve. Tasks included drawing components and layouts, performing tolerance studies, creating bill of material, initiating EWR, assembling & redressing prototype tool, writing test procedures and reports.
* Responsible for the completion of Flow Control special customer orders. Duties included modifying and checking existing assemblies for correct technical specifications (NACE & API) and accuracy of accompanying bill of materials. Maintain scheduled release dates and ensure that all production processes can be carried out expeditiously.
* Designed and tested various (HPHT) High Pressure (15 ksi) & High Temperature (450 °F) by-pass blanking plugs. Performed stress analysis and conducted hot stab-in and functional tests using wireline equipment. Prepared and organized project design documentation and maintained project communication, including project status summaries.
* Designed collet featured seal bore protector. Determined optimal design by balancing safety factor with collet deflection stresses and shifting forces.
* Designed test fixtures and conducted factory acceptance test (FAT) on NPR bridge plug for Shell Oil Company.
* Conducted testing of sand control (SC1) packer and ensured its retrievability through 5.812 Nipple restriction.

* Directed and coordinated field installation of submersible motor cooling system for YATES PETROLEUM, MARATHON OIL COMPANY, and ORYX ENERGY COMPANY. Analyzed product performance by observing prototypes in the field.
* Performed pump selection and completion calculations including hydraulic horsepower, brake HP, pump efficiency, pump stage requirements, pump suction pressure, pump operating range and recommended limits (BPD), total dynamic head (TDH), cable selection and losses, and power cost to operate the system.
* Conducted vibration test on the horizontal pumping systems installed in the field.
* Assisted in qualification of Goulds vertical water well pump at Amoco Catoosa, OK test facility.
* Calculated mass moment of inertia of pump impellers and shafts for Aramco.
* Participated in the development and testing of abrasion resistant centrifugal pumps.
* Calculated torque and horsepower limitations for couplings made of Monel.
* Duties also included vendor and manufacturing shop interface and publishing performance curves for the pumps.
