Responsibilities:
* Improving the 2009 Event / Turnaround and Inspection Safety and Environmental results by application of professional skills. Improve the planning, application and design of safety and environmental systems (liaising with the Environmental department), monitoring and reporting of statistics. Provide competent and timely project and turnaround advice to eliminate risk and preventable hazards.
* Initiated weekly meeting with Company and on-site contractors' field safety representatives, reviewing lessons learnt relative to safety from Near Loss incidents, Medically Treated injuries and Loss Time incidents. Improving Loss Prevention awareness.

Responsibilities:
Shorebase
* Developing an HSE bridging document with Contractors establishing company code of Safety procedure and practice. This document establishes all areas of HSE requirements e.g. Site induction, First Aid, Fire Response, Emergency Response etc.
* Meeting with Contractors/sub-contractors to discuss status of Safety focus at scheduled weekly meetings to ensure HSE goals are being met.
* Brainstorming with HSE representatives to develop solutions to eliminate risk and hazardous conditions.
* Touring site daily and interacting with frontline operators commending and advising in a manner to establish a positive attitude towards HSE and how it relates to the man in the mirror and his co-workers.
