C) NOCIL ¡V 1/1/1981 to 31/05/2002 (21 years)
Worked with National Organic Industries Ltd.(NOCIL)as a Rotating Equipment Technician. During the tenure in NOCIL I gained the rich experience in following areas.
Plant Maintenance-
Periodic maintenance of high speed machinery during Major shutdowns, e.g. The Elliot make centrifugal Compressors (frame 38M & 28M), ABB-AEG Kanis steam turbines. MAAG gear boxes, Demag centrifugal blowers, Sundyne (LM313) blowers etc.
Various field jobs such as Installation, alignment of pumps, compressors with prime movers like motors and steam turbines using reverse dial or Rim face dial alignment methods. On-site overhaul and day-to-day maintenance of reciprocating compressors of Ingersoll-Rand, Linde, Thomaseen, Khosala, Worthington, Nuovo Pignone make.
On-site maintenance of the pumps, compressors, turbines. Also attended jobs like replacement, maintenance of valves, pipe line leaks, steam traps, gauge glasses, safety valves etc.
Workshop
Workshop is a central service unit catering to the maintenance needs of removable plant equipment where I gained experience of overhaul and troubleshoot of various rotating machines like pumps which includes BFW pump (10 stage horizontal), Pacific Dresser make, Cooling Water Pumps, 2 stage mixed flow KSB. Germany make, multistage vertical pump Stork make and other equipment used in Petrochemical Industries.
Overhaul of Relief valves, Gauge glasses and all types of valves. Analyze root cause of failure of equipment and corrective action. Maintain history records of overhaul, troubleshooting, clearances, and modifications pertaining to the individual equipment.
Shift Assignment
This provision was for the silent hours coverage requirement. Job demand was not fixed. Multi crafts skills were called for fulfilling of the responsibility. Worked as a fire-crew member in silent hour coverage.
