Since 15 November 2001 I worked for contractors of PDVSA and I started to work for this company as a permanent employed since 15 October 2003, since 01 July 2006 I was promoted to the Consultant team, until 19 August 2009.

Last Role: Automation Consultant Jr. Engineer

Responsibilities:
* Develop Automation, Control and Instrumentation advice for platforms with or without automation, related to oil and gas flow stations, gas lift manifolds, high pressure manifolds, actuators manifolds, oil collection platforms, among others.
* Identify significant aspects of the automated platform architecture to achieve the state of the art, developing of requirements to the system administration team, electrical designs, hardware and/or software installation and upgrading SCADA displays
* Identify needs and improvement opportunities within the not automated platform, developing automation proposals, reports and recommendations.
* Analyze the Key Performance Indicators, maximizing their accuracy for the goal success, thus optimizing the dashboards which backup the management reports.
* Develop complete technical specifications in FEED to achieve the state of the art equipments and processes, which include solution analysis, technical specifications, P&ID's, schematics, cost estimation, weighted or binary matrix, alternative solutions and recommendations, according to the respective engineering standards and safety and environment care.
* Coordinate and assure the technological knowledge transference at the commissioning stage of the project.

Achievements:
* Development of best practices in gas lift manifolds automation
* Technical specifications for the replacement of Industrial Computers
* Assessment of the Coester Brand quarter turn actuator to replace the Limitorque Brand for the application in oil production manifolds in flow stations
* Assessment of IHM's, Interfaces Human Machines to be purchased, distributed and replaced in 28 oil production flow stations.
* Assessment of a Beijer Brand IHM to replace the GeFanuc Data Panel 230E series
* Technical Document to make a comparison between the electrohidraulic Vs. Electric actuators

First Role: Automation Support Engineer

Responsibilities:
Field Support
* Assure the integrity of the automated platform applying specialised maintenance to instrumentation, wiring, PLC, Remotes, HMI, radios and special equipment, using SCADA and site supervisions with P&ID's, in oil and gas flow stations, gas lift manifolds, high pressure manifolds, actuators manifolds, oil collection platforms, among others.
* Schedule preventive maintenance plans to optimize the performance of the platform, based in the Key Performance Indicators.
* Reduce costs in corrective maintenances using trends and statistic tools to apply a predictive maintenance, according to the KPI's
Scada
* Supervise on daily bases "Data Quality" from field's source, through the final user.
* Coordinate changes and improvement to keep the data according to the field reality (Oasys and Wonderware SCADA).
Projects and Service Contract
* Identify small systems upgrade's opportunities; design and develop the project specifications.
* Keep in touch with the contractors and program the execution of the preventive and corrective maintenances.
* Provide advice about the automation maintenance's budget, equipment and replacement's purchase.
* Coordinate workshops about industrial security (Health and environment security) for the department.

Achievements:
* Generated a new opportunity for the company to earn 34.800 USD (approximately per month) by re-designing a PCL routine (GeFanuc Series 90/30 with programming software Logic Master), that detected 5000 petroleum barrels per day, which otherwise went unnoticed.
* Optimized the correct oil production calculus in every batch for each well by applying a PLC routine that detected the correct level of oil in the well testing.
