B.Sc. Engineering (Civil) with first class from University of Kerala, India having more than 30 years of experience out of which 14 years 6 months in field of Project management, Design and Construction of major Buildings, Highways, Bridges and Irrigation structures, 4 years in teaching in Engineering Colleges in India and more than 15 years in Petroleum Industry (KNPC) in Kuwait. Strength in technical appreciation of project requirements combined with practical skills in problem resolution, communication, project management, contract administration, tendering, negotiation, budgeting, cost control, safety and quality control and project team motivation to meet the schedule. Details of Experience:
From1994 May to still continuing (15 years and 5 months)
Working in Kuwait National Petroleum Co. (KNPC) Projects Department in all the three Refineries as Senior Civil Construction Engineer (from 01-05-2006) and as Civil Construction Engineer (from 1994 May to 2006 April) on Secondment basis through M/s Heston Kuwait. During this period, supervised many multi- million projects with International Contactors like Mitsui (Japan), SKEC (Korea), LGEC (Korea), CLOUGH (Australia) and L&T (India)
Major Projects handled are:
1. Acid Gas Removal Project (AGRP) in Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery
Cost of Project: US $ 160 million
Contractor: M/s SK Engineering and Construction, Korea
2. Methyl Alkylation FCC Project (MAFP) in Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery
Cost of Project: US $ 100 million
Contractor: Mitsui Eng. and Construction Corp., Japan
3. Gas Oil Desulphurization Project (GOD) in Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery
Cost of Project: US $ 115 million
Contractor: M/s LG Engineering and Constructions, Korea
4. H2 Transfer Project (HTP) in Mina Al-Ahmadi and Shuaiba Refineries.
Cost of Project: US $ 30 million
Contractor: M/s CLOUGH, Australia
5. O2 Enrichment Project (OEP) in Sulphur Recovery Unit in Shuaiba Refinery
Cost of Project: US $ 27 million
Contractor: Larson&Tubro, India
6. Online Catalyst Rerun Revamp Project (OCR) in Unit 12 of Mina Abdulla Refinery
Cost of Project: KD US $ 125 million

Responsibilities
* Total in charge of all types of Civil works like Roads, Tanks, Dykes, admin as well as control room / satellite house buildings, substations, explosion proof buildings heavy equipment foundations, storage tanks, UG drainages, compressor houses, major structural steel works,, fire proofing and various types of refractory works.
* Coordination with other disciplines Engineers, Contractors and sub contractors and end user.
* Reviewing the tender documents and issue comments with respect to site conditions and prevailing standards and conditions.
* Reviewing documents, procedures, method statements, material catalogues and specifications, quality control documents, as-built drawings, shop drawings, material approvals etc.,
* Ensure that all works at site are carried as the required Quality Management system, Environment Management System and Safety, Health and Environment Procedures of KNPC.
* Coordination with external agencies like Kuwait Oil Company(KOC), Public Authority for Industry (PIA), Shuaiba Port, Kuwait Fire Authority and Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) in connection with IRT line construction, cross country pipes and transportation of Heavy equipment from Port.
* Reporting progress and processing progress measurements, monitoring the works in relation with approved schedule, attending / convening meetings with contractor, vendor representatives end users, reporting day to day matters to higher managements
* Review handing over procedures, pre commissioning and commissioning activities, monitoring punch list clearance, provide feedback for ITB preparations
* Distributing works and responsibilities to subordinate engineers / supervisors and monitoring their works
* Conversant of international standards like ACI, ASTM, BS and KNPC / Shell standards
From 1979 August to 1994 May
Worked as Assistant Executive Engineer in Ministry of Public Works, Kerala, India. During that time, fully site in charge of Design and Construction of Multi storied Govt. buildings, major bridges and National Highway. Also, involved in design and construction of irrigation structures and marine structures.
Major Projects handled are
* Construction of 80 km long Kollam- Alleppey National Highway (NH- 47).
* Design and Construction of Karunagappally Govt hospital 200 bed inpatient ward
* Design and Construction of Kayamkulam Karippuzha bridge (280 m long)
* Construction of Neendakara port
* Construction of Bund and regulators in Cochin backwater area.
* Design and Construction of Karapuzha Irrigation Project main 1800 m long Earth dam
From 1975 October to 1979 August (4 years)
Worked as Lecturer in Civil Engineering in TKM College of Engineering under University of Kerala, Trivandrum, Kerala and in NSS College of Engineering, Palghat under Calicut University, Kerala. Subjects taught are Mechanics of solids, concrete and steel structures., Theory of mechanics, water supply and sanitary Engineering and Fluid mechanics with all Practical and Laboratory trainings. Also conducted major survey camp and guiding in project works. Accompanied students in all India study tour programs.
