I am a graduate degree holder in Mechanical Engineering and have been working in the field of Projects execution & management for over twelve years. During these years of working, major roles undertaken are as lead project engineer, project co-ordinator, and contract engineer. The projects handled by me were in Oil, Gas and Power sector. Most of these projects were executed on EPC basis.
By virtue of my experience, I have developed a profile which is a blend of Project execution and Contract management and have acquired skills of working both on the Contractor side and the Owner side. I am fluent with FIDIC based contracting. My major strengths include:

* Constant endeavour towards cost management in all spheres of work.
* Thorough knowledge about FIDIC based contracting practices and working English.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical) from Govt. Engineering College, Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, India in 1992.

- 15 years of experience in Project & Contract Management of EPC & PMC projects in Oil, Gas & Power sector.
- Experienced in working in various areas of Project Management like: Project co-ordination, Procurement, Engineering Co-ordination, Contracts Management & Construction.

RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
Develop contracting strategy & plan for suitable contract packaging for various projects.
Establish terms and conditions for each package, based on FIDIC & company standards and liaise with user departments for preparing Tender documents for various multi million dollar packages.
Co-ordinating with bidders, in-house engineering and management for bid opening & evaluation.
Conducting detailed commercial evaluation (including deviations & qualifications) and negotiation with bidders, in outmost confidential manner. Submission of evaluation report thereafter.
Preparing Contract agreements (based on FIDIC guidelines) and firming up for signature.
Coordinate kick-off meetings with contractor personnel to review the coordination procedures, contract schedule, contract deliverables, change order process.
Post award contract administration issues, like:
* Coordinate the Change Control process, including: Amendments, Change Orders and other changes,
* Timely and carefully monitoring of compliance with Liquidated Damages contract terms,
* Coordinate the resolution of Contractor claims,
* Maintain close liaison with appropriate members of in-house project team (Engineering, Construction, Finance etc.) during execution,
Develop Contract Administration plan, Change order processing plan and monitoring other administrative issues related to Contracts department.

RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
Sub-Contractor bid evaluation & finalization of Sub-Contractors.
Prepare Contract Agreement after incorporating all technical and contractual issues and co-ordinating with requesting department.
Supporting Project Management team, Vendors & Sub-Contractors during entire execution for contract related matters.
Identifying the issues related to Variation Order Claim and subsequent presentation of the same to Client and final negotiation thereafter
Working as a part of project team and assisting departments to evaluate various issues.
Coordination within & outside the company.
Evaluating & settling of variation claims, time extension, Contract close-out etc. for Sub-Contracts.
To lead in resolving the contractual and financial disputes raised by sub-contractors and recommend solutions.
