PROFILE

Job Responsibilities:
As a Site engineer for the first project and then as a Section Engineer for the second project, I was given the responsibility of Construction supervision (Pavement and CD works) of 10 km stretch (Km. 210 to Km.220) for the Bangalore-Mysore Road, and 15 km stretch (Km. 460 to Km. 475) for the Rehabilitation of the Nelligere to Kibbanhalli road project.
Day-to-Day work briefly consisted of
* Checking the Sub-Contractor's work and its compliance with the specifications.
* Updating the Sub-Contractor's Progress and comparison with the approved construction schedule.
* Solving the local problems with the assistance of Deputy Project Manager.
* Advising and instructing the Sub-Contractor for speedy completion of work and maintaining the quality.
* Supervision of day to day work.
* Attending the RFI's (Request for Inspection)
* Maintaining standards, ensuring quality of materials, environmental implication, safety of the entire team and labor work force.
* Implementation of Safety measures and Environmental aspects including items like measures for controlling dust, borrow area management etc.
* Updating the Progress and listing of Encumbrances.
* Assisting DPM in preparation of Monthly Progress Report (MPR)
* Submitting new proposals for variation items, etc. as per on ground requirements.
