I served for three years with the British Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (Fifth Battalion, reserve), attaining the rank of Lance Corporal and PTI (Physical Training Instructor). In this role, I was second-in-command (2IC) of an eight man unit, responsible for the well-being of the other soldiers and smooth running of the team. Here I gained experience working under pressure in fast-paced, often isolated field-based environments.
