-Construction Supervision, Pre-commissioning & Commissioning of Umm AL Dalakh Northern Area F&G, SCADA system and other Field Instrumentation & Control Systems for ZADCO (Just completed).
-Detailed Engineering of New Tank Vapour Blower and 2 nos. Main Oil Line Pumps at Dukhan Fields, Qatar (Completed 85%).
-Detailed Engineering of DFO Pipe Line, Jabel Ali Power and Desalination Station "L", Dubai (Completed 80%).
* Recently completed "SIL Determination Study" using LOPA for Compressor Station, Pipe Line and various utilities in Margham Dubai Establishment.
Pipe Line and Gas Processing
* Vizag-Secundrabad LPG Pipeline of M/s Gas Authority of India Ltd including pump station and six-custody transfer metering terminals. Project included detailed engineering of the mobile compact mass prover for the coriolis mass flow meter for in situ proving of all the meters along the pipeline (2001).
* 1200 KM 12/14/16" NB Jamnagar to Loni LPG Pipeline of M/s Gas Authority of India Ltd. including it's five pump stations and twelve custody transfer metering terminals. Project included detailed engineering of the mobile compact mass prover for the coriolis mass flow meter for in situ proving of all the meters along the pipeline(1998).
* Worked as a Group Leader (Leading group of engineers) for the following GAIL jobs namely GPC Gandhar, LPG cum C2/C3 unit-Usar (commissioned), LPG Recovery Unit Auraiya, LPG Unit Lakwa (commissioned) and LEF Compressor Unit Bijaypur.
Multiproduct Pipelines and the pump stations:
* 349 KM, 14" NB Vizag to Vijaywada Multiproduct Pipeline of M/s Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd including the pipeline SCADA and Leak detection system engineering and vendor document review/ finalization for system implementation. (1997 to 1999).
* Expansion of the Mumbai Manmad multiproduct pipeline of M/s Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd including the pump station at Manmad and the receipt terminal at Manglaya. (2001 till date), 9.3 kms Natural Gas Pipeline, Compressor stations and Custody Transfer metering terminals.
Marketing terminals:
* Terminal Automation of the Vijaywada and Rajamundry marketing terminals of M/s Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd including the product (MS, SKO, HSD, ATF) storage in the tanks, truck loading automation, plant safety, product metering and inventory accounting system. Integrated terminal automation and Tank Gauging system based on open system architecture residing on IEEE 802.3 plant wide LAN.
Gas Pipe Line & Compressors and City Gas Distribution:
* HBJ Gas Pipeline (more than 2000 km) Up gradation & Expansion Project Phase-II GAIL India and all the Gas Gathering Stations in Tripura. These also include Jhabua, Auraiya Compressor (Gas Turbine Generator and Gas Turbine Compressor) Station Up gradation, Shahjahanpur, Jagdihpur, Babrala Gas Distribution terminals Project.
* 310 KM, 36/30" NB Dabhol Hazira natural gas pipeline of M/s Enron consisting of pipeline, laterals and the custody transfer receipt terminals (1999 to 2000).
* New Delhi City Gas Distribution and Agartala, Tripura City and Industrial Gas Distribution. Worked on the ideas to develop "Gas Grid for India. The natures of job also consists of Coordinate and participate with relevant Government Authorities and other Utilities Organizations in Delhi and Tripura in developing and leading the GAIL Distribution role for major cities like New Delhi and Agartala.
* Gas Rehabilitation and the Expansion project of M/s Gas Authority of India Ltd consisting of 500 KM 36" NB gas pipeline from Bijaipur to Dadri, New compressor stations at Khera and Vaghodia, Upgradation of existing compressor stations at Hazira, Bjaipur and Jhabua, metering and the pressure regulating terminals at Shajahanpur, Babrala, Jagdishpur, Aonla, Bijaipur, Hazira, Mathura and Faridabad.
* Actively involved in Construction and Commissioning activities and Operation & Maintenance of instrumentation Systems like DCS, PLC of Texas Instruments of USA, Fire & Gas system, Gas Analysers, Gas Chromatographs, Gas Metering and other Industrial Instrument system packages like Instrument Air, Nitrogen, HVAC etc. of Jhabua Compressor (Gas Turbine Generator and Gas Turbine Compressor) Station and of Auraiya compressor (Gas Turbine Generator and Gas Turbine Compressor) station for HBJ PIPE LINE project (longest, more than 2000km in India).
Offshore and Onshore:
* Various Offshore projects like TG (Gas Turbine) control system revamp, F&G system revamp, PGC control system revamp, ZA Platform (in Abu Dhabi through NPCC) etc. of M/S ONGC.
* Worked in Conoco Belanak WHP and Oil & Gas Pipelines project in Mcdermott, Indonesia. Fully conversant with High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS) and Sand Monitoring System (SMS).
* Worked in M/s. ADCO, UAE for Oil Drain, Effluent Disposal and Lined Pits Project (Bu Hasa, Asab, Shah & Bab Oil Fields) as Lead Instrument & Control Engineer. Performed the site survey for the above fields and recommended the necessary design change to procure latest state of the art technology for field and control room instruments including PLC. Design reviewed and approved by BP and Shell- UK. Single handedly successfully completed the project. Conversant with the Shell standard and practices (Design & Engineering).
Petrochemicals Project:
* Haldia Petrochemicals Project (Engineering complete) worked as a Instrumentation Specialist and provided Project Engineering Design Services (PMC) for the following units Naphtha Cracker Unit (Licensor Toyo Engineering Corporation - Japan), Pyrolysis Gasoline Hydrogenation Unit (Licensor IFDP - France), Butadiene (Licensor ABB Lummas - USA), Benzene (Licensor Lurgi Oil & Gas Chemie - Germany). Actively involved in design and all the detail-engineering activities. The responsibility includes review and approval of all the instrumentation engineering documents generated by the Licensers / Vendors, Meeting and liaison with project/ client/ licenser/ vendor, Site co-ordination etc.
Refinery Project:
* Actively involved in preparation of Instrumentation & Control and Telecom-SCADA Basic Engineering Design Basis, specifications and standards, Detailed Engineering, preparation of EPC tender packages, Bid evaluation, Project engineering design services (PMC), Engineering for Procurement, vendor drawing review, FAT, SAT, site co-ordination and supervision, installation and commissioning assistance and other activities listed below for Demineralised water (DMW) Plant, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), RWTP, CWTP etc. of M/s IOCL, BPCL, CPCL and GAIL.
* Panipat Refinery Project of M/s. IOCL and MRPL-2 Refinery Project of M/s. MRPL. Actively involved in Crude & Vacuum Distillation Unit, Visbreaker Unit, Bitumen Blowing Unit, Amine Treatment Unit, Utilities and Offsite etc. for all the detail-engineering activities and other activities as listed below.
The various major activities of the above projects include the following in a nutshell in M/S TME, M/S EIL and M/S GAIL.
* Preparation of Pre-FEED and FEED.
* Review of the P&ID
* Preparation of Design Basis, Procedures for Instrument selection, Specification for all instrument and Telecom-SCADA items.
* Direct, supervise and manage assigned personnel in the department to ensure effective utilization of resources.
* Participate in the Development and lead the implementation of the daily and emergency plans and procedures to cover the various stages of different Projects.
* Prepares and manages departmental budget using approved procedure to meet departmental requirements.
* Develops and manages scope of work and deliverables for Projects consultants, licensor and engineering contractors for services in related fields as required.
* Ensures that Projects handled are optimally designed and engineered meeting approved applicable standards.

* To lead the review and approval of design Change requests, concession requests, trend notices, waiver to Project Specifications and to lead the technical analysis of claims and variations impacting the costs and schedule, identify the areas for challenging the contractors with the objective of minimizing the impact and protecting Company interests, develop technical negotiation strategies and lead the technical negotiations with contractors and prepare Technical Position Paper where required.

* Preparation of DCS-SCADA/PLC specification and evaluation of the DCS-SCADA/PLC, Terminal Automation System, ESD systems and Fire & Gas system bids of ABB MOD 300 and ADVANT OCS, THL-TDC 3000 / TPS DCS, Honeywell TDC 3000, YBL-CENTUM CS, Triconex, ICS, August PLC (TMR), HIMA PLC, Allen Bradley PLC etc.) and its technical recommendation. Development of engineering documents for DCS during FEED and detailed engineering of the project.
* Preparation of Cable Block diagrams, Cable Schedule, Cable Termination diagrams, Instrument Index, Inst. Duct/ trench layouts, Junction box layouts, Functional Schematics, Cause & Effect matrix, Logic Diagram, Instrument Data Base, Graphics, Power Supply distribution scheme, DCS system definition/ configuration.
* Preparation of Installation Standards, Nozzle Elevation for Level Instruments, Instrument Location layout, Control Panel front and Control Room layout drawings.
