- To raise and issue TCRN's (Technical Capability Regulatory Engineering Notices) to Civil and Track assets detailing specific quality and technical information instructing accountable managers to conform or improve areas in the Civil and Track engineering disciplines.
- To follow up and monitor information regarding CERN's (Chief Engineering Regulatory Notices) ensuring that withdrawal conditions of the notice have been met.
- To raise and write concessions requesting deviations from corporate engineering documents such that the application remains compliant with mandatory requirements. Concessions raised would ensure HMRI Safety principles and current legislations are taken into account.
- Planning, organising, leading and budgeting scheduled audits to the requirements of the departmental standards, these include external audits on contractors -nd sub-contractors.
- To update rail engineering standards/procedures requiring change through an approved concession.
- To follow and authorise the close out of non-conformance/deviations raised during technical audits. This may include providing advice on engineering methods to be used or changed to comply with specifications/standards.
- The generation of risk assessments/safety cases (regulatory notices) also project specific to determine health and safety risks involved with the public and personnel performing tasks working on rail or civil structures belonging to Metronet Rail BCV.
- Co-ordinate and manage external audits of MRSSL by LUL, regulators and others.
- To carry risk base analysis of all audits in the Civil and Track Asset area's.
- To register and approve new assets (Plant equipment) prior to use within the organisation.
