Hired from previous employer, Lucent Technologies, in April 2001 to lead Pan-European stage of $1.3Billion telecommunications program and enable the extension of Carter Burgess, Inc. presence into Europe. As the first European 'employee' I was initially tasked to work with KPMG and Baker McKenzie to plan, research, review and implement Carter & Burgess office entities in Europe. The start-up process was vigorously and rapidly deployed in May 2001 enabling Carter & Burgess to service clients locally within Europe. Primary responsibilities encompass all facets of operations and project management including business planning, development, commercial accountability for cost and time performance, client liaison and establishing quality assurance processes and procedures. Initially employed in Swindon, England as International Program Manager, UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Russia and Baltic States – reporting to Netherlands based Regional Program Manager. Promoted to Regional Manager, EMEA in June 1999 – relocating to EMEA headquarters, Netherlands.

Accountable for all Engineering, Design & Construction activities across EMEA encompassing ownership and management of $150m annual Capital budget. Reporting direct to New Jersey, USA. Projects encompassed Offices, Manufacturing Facilities, Warehouses, R&D Centers, Laboratories, Network Operation Centers, Computer Suites and Wireless Broadband Telecoms nodes / hubs. Completed projects include - $180m, 1,000,000sqft campus development, Nurnberg, Germany - $70M, 750,000sqft office re-stack, Hilversum, Netherlands - $40M, 200,000sqft office / manufacturing facility, Dublin, Ireland, $100m pan-european broadband wireless network build-out.

Awarded Lucent Technologies most prestigious employee performance recognition award in February 2000 for underpinning the successful and seamless delivery of Lucent's $450m corporate expansion roll-out program across EMEA.

Working in consultancy capacity supporting a full spectrum of project types and clients engaging all sectors of the Industry – Retail, Residential, Commercial, Health, Public and Process Engineering. Extensive International travel.

Active in all facets of Project Management throughout the project delivery cycle – site search / feasibility / selection, Procurement route selection, Design Consultant appointments, Contractor pre-qualification / selection, tender packaging / review / recommendation, Value Management, Risk Management, Landlord / Developer / Legal liaison & coordination, Contract Administration, Change Management, Project Controls Management / Measurement / Corrective Action, Testing & Commissioning sign off / Hand-over and Migration Management. Secured Construction Management Scholarship with Kier Group in August 1990 (International GC/CM/MC). A total of 18 months experience gained between June 91 and June 94 in capacity of Assistant Project Controls Engineer - supporting project planning, change management, claims and cost control functions.
